Trying to understand the purpose of this bracket/section. This large bracket is on the front passenger side around the lower control arm section on my jeep gladiator mojave. It's is not on the drivers side and it appears that nothing is attached to it. Sits pretty low. Does your mojave have it as well?

It is a "Tire Deflector Bracket", supposedly for crash safety purposes.

Thankfully, my 2021 Mojave does not have it.

Thank you for the information. I test drive a few 2021's and ordered a 2022. I don't remember seeing it on any of them. Totally not a fan of it.

Neither my 22 JL or JT have it. Must of been early enough in the build year to avoid it.

What's the problem with it? Does it get in the way of something? All I've seen about it shows that it's there, but it doesn't have any negative impact on clearance or lifts or steering or anything. It's a benign safety addition.

It's to generate more questions than answers...
I think this may be thread 5.............

I have it on mine and after having watched the YT videos on the crashes, it totally made sense as a really super cheap and simple way to avoid that crash problem.
One never knows when my wife might be driving it when some idiot is out there high on weed and smacks the truck.............. who knows, if we take it to FL later this year and my son is driving it with his wife and son in there........ it's a safety thing.
I don't get the being bugged by it. Totally confusing what bothers some these days.

Yep, a means to shortcut the safety thing, but really only applies to certain theoretical impacts.

I can see that it would be a possible hang spot when sliding over rocks.

It's like a dew claw... remove it to prevent certain things, or leave it if you want...

Anyone know if this will cause any problems when I install my 2" lift with 37's? It appears to have a section that is welded. Has anyone taken this bracket off?
