I've had surgery and can't lift more than 10lbs. Just wondering if I'm not going to be able to open it up for the next 5 weeks.

They are light but I never weighed them. I doubt they are ten pounds probably 6 maybe 7.

How much does the back half of the hard top weigh?
Around 60 pounds, much lighter than 2 door JK. Still just a bit awkward to remove by yourself so a helper or some sort of lift is suggested. I still haven't figured out what I am going to do long run as I think the hoistatop and jbarr are a tad overpriced but may be the smartest way to prevent stupid damage by dropping things or knocking into the gladiator while moving about.

I figure I would just stand in the bed and lift it. =D

The biggest problem is wingspan. I can lift it no issue but safely navigating yourself around the bed without knocking into the truck is difficult (grabbing the back window and reaching for the front lip). Someone suggested yesterday to just reach in through the back window and lift up against the roof but I have not tried that yet. Part of it is I don't want to damage the paint of the truck nor do I want to damage a top that will be a good 3k to replace.

Two 60 year old men taking the back part off is why I can't lift more than 10lbs, got a hernia. Two can do it but it is not balanced well. It is a good question because subtract that and you can carry that much more payload.

It was not the weight but the way you have to keep the weight out in front of you as you walk the length of the bed before you can lower it and shift the load that caused my problem, I think.

I just weighed my pair in the bag at 37.
Even if you give the bag 5, that's 16 apiece.

@Pat2Alaska forgot the 1 in front.
HE'S TRYING TO KILL YOU!!! :CWL:
