Nice deal you got! Congrats
Did you have tread lightly discount applied?
Did you have to use their financing?

I didn’t use the tread lightly discount. Easy transaction, no funny business or finance requirements. The only dealer add was window tint $499 which I wanted anyhow.

Did you have a trade? If you did what was it and how much did they give? Everyone is giddy over the 20-30% discount but are getting raped on their trades.
Trade was not a factor in my case. You can walk in and receive 30% discount off MSRP. They had (5) 2024 Rubi X models at this price last week. Looks like only 1 unit left now. So they are moving them at the discounted price.

It was just the Sport a few weeks ago. It’s bonus cash, which means it’s added on as a bonus.

15% off will be more than $3250 on any trim, so no one would chose the $3250 If it was one or the other.

I bought one last year with % off, plus bonus cash, plus private offer, all stacked.
Just had a dealer tell me these are not stackable...maybe last year's offer was different

That's about what I got off the 2023 Glad I leased last March. Got good money for my trade also. Even after sticker shock, I still left happy.

Finally got a dealer to get back to me.
2024 mojave
MSRP 57,985

44,515 after all the fees, except tax/registration

Thats only about 23% off MSRP, I still got a ways to go to get me to buy one.

Or you could miss out waiting. All of the 24s discounted 20-30% at my local dealer are now all gone. There is no guarantee 25 models will have the discounts we are seeing now.

This is somewhat true. They are trying to get to a point where they can protect pricing by restricting inventory, so they are blowing out the old models and trying to limit production moving forward. But this is a short-term bandaid. It doesn't solver their biggest problem - HIGH PRICES. The reality is that they completely blew it by jacking prices up to almost double of what their customer base can afford.

And none of this takes into account another problem for all auto manufacturers - neverending insurance rate hikes. These are eating into family budgets to the point where a new car is quickly becoming unaffordable simply from an insurance standpoint. Slowly, people will favor older pieces of shit that don't cost much to insure - liability insurance only instead of the full coverage that is mandatory with a new vehicle. We are in weird times.
