Just picked up new tires a few days ago. I had planned on buying new wheels at the same time, but the guy buying my boat backed out. So, getting new wheels is on the back burner for a bit.

Would you go ahead and mount up the new tires to your current wheels? Or wait for the unknown amount of time before you get new wheels?

If the tires fit the wheels and can be used without contact to said vehicle, run what you got. Mount and balance isnā€™t too muchā€¦..

They are the same size as what Iā€™m running currently. I have 50K on those so it was time for new ones. Just wanted to upgrade wheels this time around.

Iā€™d throw them on. You can swap them to new wheels when youā€™re able to get them or you might just find something else you want prior to getting the wheels

Quadratec is running a good sale until tonight. I priced out 5 aev wheels and the sale ultimately gave you the 5th wheel free.

Hello fellow Kentuckian.

I would go ahead and mount the new tires and run them on whatever you have now(assuming its the stock Rubicon wheels). I'm pretty much done the same thing. I'm in the market for new aftermarket wheels currently. But I had really put it off since I actually don't mind my stock wheels at all (Overland). I actually think they're the best looking stock wheel of any trim in my opinion. However I did upgrade from the stock rental car looking tires that came stock. Been running mine now for about just under 8k, and plan on mounting them on my new wheels once I get them since theyre still in great condition.

New tires even on a stock wheel is definitely a noticeable improvement in my opinion,

Run the old ones until winter if they're ok on wet roads and you don't need more meat for any off road trips planned.
Maybe you'll get a sale for your boat by then, but if not get them on by November.

I checked out their sale. Definitely cheaper at $1,200, but Iā€™m about $1,200 short. Lol

Mount them and run them, you might find other things you need instead of just swapping wheels....Jack

I would mount them, Discount Tire charged me $64 to put my tires on my new wheels. Definitely worth it.

I hear ya. Iā€™m in the same boat. There are many members on here that prefer the stock wheels due to fitment and not sticking passed the fenders. Like others have said, just mount them to the stock wheels and you can change them if you desire.

use what you got if you got it. Who knows you may just like it and save yourself 1000 on wheels! Plus you don't want those tires siting for 12 months
