Wife's been driving my Gladiator Overland (ordered 5/19, built 6/19, delivered 7/19) for the past week and a half while her '19 GC Ltd. is getting repaired after hitting a deer.

So, this morning she sends me a pic of the drivers side visor and, it's busted...it appears to be broken where it attaches to the ceiling.

I almost never used it so...there it is.

My turn. Hope it's not too expensive to fix....

Iā€™ve got 104k mi on my 2020. Trying to the visor down at a red light to put sunrider up, mine broke as well. Turned out that mine just pulled out from the retainer clip. Took a pretty a firm whack to get it to re-seat.

Itā€™s like $450 dollar job if garage door openers are in it, so you know, mine broke under warranty and I bought the braces but never put them on, going to do it tonight, thanks for the reminderā€¦.Jack

Looks good but, that's not where the visor broke...this is the pic my wife sent to me when she got to work...it looks like the 'hinge' itself broke. With the internal wiring, looks like it's a job for the stealership ā˜¹ ā˜¹ ā˜¹

I thought thatā€™s what these clips do: it pulls that back into the opening and secures it.

That looks more or less like how mine broke. The clip I got just snugs up the swivel joint against the existing plastic cap. Thereā€™s not really anything on the other side that it needs/leverages.

That's where they all break. It's a retaining clip up there, no hinge. That tapered cylinder pressure-fits to the hole. You could just push it back up there and it'll hold for a bit, and then let go.

The linked repair kit just retains it from the bottom instead. It will fix it.

I bought these a few years ago and forgot that I even installed them. I even tried creating a complaint to the NHTSA and never heard back since I almost killed a bicyclist when it fell in my fov.
I never hit the biker. All is good
