Yukon? Nitro? Dana Spicer? Are there others?

This is for a 2021 Rubicon with Dana 44 front and rear.

What ring & pinion set did you use when you swapped to 4.88 gears and where did you purchase them from?

I see Quadratec sells Yukon and Dana but shows them as 'temporarily out of stock'.

I recently used Nitro in my old 1979 Toyota and my installer said he really liked how they set up and the pattern was good, but it doesn't appear they offer 4.88 for the Dana 44s.

All are good. I went with Dana Spicer. Dana Spicer do not require extensive break-in, and thus, produce less metal powder. My Dana Spicer 5:13s created almost exactly the same amount of powder as my original Dana Spicer 4:10s. The metal powder is an issue in Rubicons because it can get into the locker sensor and cause false readings. Whatever gears you choose, if you have a Rubicon, it is best to change the rear fluid a few times at first to get rid of all the metal powder so it does not get into the sensor. The front is not so critical because it does not get as much use.

I haven't bought gears for the Gladiator yet.

In the past for other Jeeps, I have got them from the installer. Makes it easier if something goes wrong.

Dana. I avoided Yukon as they’re made overseas. Revolution is good as well. Made in the same factory as Dana, so I’m told by my shop.

Last I knew, Revolution gear sets are made by Circle K is Korea. I’m not sure about Dana. Circle K is good stuff.
