Why do you need the bigger display for advanced safety features?

I want all the safety features but don't want a slightly larger display that for some reason costs 1500 dollars when I can buy the same thing aftermarket for way less. Why do you need it for the advanced safety features?

Haven’t figured that out, if you configure a Sport S with those features it requires the 7” which comes standard on Overland/Rubicon, but if you want those features on those upper trim levels it makes you upgrade to the 8.4. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me

My dealer just updated my order to include the safety groups and did not need to add the 8" screen. I have an updated build sheet and everything! active cruise control was worth 1500 for me but not 3K.

Awesome! That is really good to know! They really get you with that very expensive 1.4 inch increased display.

For Sport-S, no restrictions per order guide

Overland and Rubicon 8.4" (AEK) required with the Advanced safety group
