My selectable tire fill alert app works (mostly), but everytime I want to use it, I have to go into settings and "turn it on." Is there any way to turn it on and keep it on?

For clarity, the default status of my STFA app is "grayed out," and, therefore it won't open. I first have to go into settings and check the box to make it active. I want to avoid going into settings to activate the app.

Glad to know I'm not alone. Hopefully there is a solution.

It’s super finicky. I feel like each time I try to use it I arrive at it working in a different way. As far as I can tell it always defaults to off.

Sounds like this is normal, but I dont understand FCA's logic at all. Thanks for the responses.

Yes, that's the way it works. Everytime you used it, it has to be "cocked" first. Probably some safety concern on FCA's part although I can't imagine what it is.

It may interfere with the regular TPMS monitoring system, so the default is to turn it off when not being used.

I read about this on the website and brochures, but I believe it is only on the Rubicon, is that correct? I bought a Sport S with the Max Tow that I am building and I can't seem to find it in my setting options.

It is that way so when the tires are below the set pressure and then warm up and increase pressure the alarm doesn't go off all the time. A friend of mine is a safety engineer for the power company and his truck would alarm when sitting in the hot sun due to pressure increase. Not good when you are inches from 1200 volts!!

Ok, that must be the reason. I thought there must be a good explanation.

This makes sense, but why not put the on/off switch within the app instead of in settings somewhere. For example, click app, get check box to turn it on, check the box, and it either turns on or tells you it isn't available. Why make it so that you have to dig through a totally different settings menu?

Rubicon only.
I have an 80th anniversary edition (Sport S) with the 8.4" screen and I have it and have used it.

Yes it's annoying having to manually turn it on every time but the horn beeps as designed when the target psi is reached.

Maybe this can be dealt with the Tazer.

Hmmm interesting, I have the option in my Gladiator Rubicon and I have always seen it greyed out, thought it was a dealer option to enable it. I am going to play with the settings.
Thanks guys.
