I've always been a fan of BFG tires, my farm / work F250 diesel sports BFG AT's which perform pretty well across the spectrum for its duties, snow plowing, work around the farm where traction is a must and Hwy use pulling a gooseneck stock trailer. My 16 JKURHR had the BFG MT's which I liked on the trail and logging two tracks I hunt on. You have to be careful on the Hwy in the rain with them though but a very good mud tire which is my priority.

My JT came with the Faulken Wildpeak MT's and I figured I'd just use them up quickly without rotating them and get BFG's again or try some Nitto MT's.

I've got over 6000 miles on the Wildpeaks now and was surprised at several things with them. #1 they are a better mudder than the BFG's, better in the rain, a smoother ride and that made me rotate them at 5000 miles and see how well they lasy also.

After rotating them I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet they were. BFG's howl for several hundred miles after rotation.

Needless to say I'm pretty impressed with so much to the point that I'm going to see just how good they preform over the hunting season coming up and hold off of any plans for a lift and bigger tires.

Will the 33's be enough which would make my wife happy as it's a stretch already for her to get in. As for me, if they do the job that well I'll probably not lift and just go to 35's when I use these 33's up. After 2 years with the JKUR I was looking at 37's in the future. The JTR with 33's already performs better for my needs than the JKUR with 35's

I'm guessing that when the word gets out a lot of hunters are going to make the jump to the JT and ditch their Taco's, Colorados and Sport tracs. The JT just does off road better.

Personally, I hate the BFG MT and AT. Love the Krawler tho. That being said, removing my personal bias, If you have any amount of snow or rain where you live, I would suggest the Falken would be a better choice, as it has at least some siping to give you a chance at having some grip. No sipes=driving on top of the rain and snow vs sipes=cutting down through the rain and snow to the ground below, which is where the traction is (this does not apply to deep snow wheeling where you actually want to float on top, not dig).

Edit: for mud, the BFG MT would probably perform better due to it's wider lug voids and abilities to self clean. For rock crawling, I think the Falken would be better as it has more biting edges to grab the rock with.
