Willys suspension as an upgrade?

I have a MaxTow Sport, I’ve seen a Willys suspension for sale locally for around $100. Is it worth upgrading, especially for an admitted “mall crawler”? Im wondering if the shocks and front springs would be a better match for my Rubicon take-off wheels given that the Willys ride on something in between those and my stock set up

You would just make it softer

There is nothing fancy about a willies suspension. Since you don't list what model jeep you have it's hard to say definitively, but in all likely hood they are the same.

He says he has the max tow. So a Willy’s would just be softer springs and red shocks? Idk the difference from the red ones to the standard sport shocks??

max tow overland, sport, sport S, HA ect, many different models all with slight nuances. Either way, it' s a lateral move and not worth the effort.

AFAIK, Willys springs are just standard Sport rated soft springs. I swapped out mine for Rubicon take offs and the diameter of the Willys springs was noticeable smaller and lower in spring height.

The only thing "special" about the Willys edition in the suspension department is the red shocks, which I believe are just JL style Rubi shocks, and nothing great. Everything else is just standard sport edition suspension stuff.

Ok, thanks guys. I wasnt sure if the front springs were any different or if the shocks were any more special than the paint job. I guess that explains the asking price
