Wind noise reduced 70%

I’ve been trying to eliminate wind noise for 1.5 yrs and stumbled on cure. I ran the cable shown in first pic and wind noise got worse. I sealed the area per pics and case solved.

What was the cable for? I’m assuming the cable didn’t cause more noise?? The space just makes noise so packing it like you did helped lessen the noise?

The cable is for a “Banks Module”. The wind noise was existing, the cable changed the pitch, my modification eliminated wind noise. I removed the cowl on both sides and did the same on passenger side.

I've got gorilla tape so I can duplicate what you did, but no foam. Is the foam necessary?

Hmm, pretty cool. Haven’t seen anyone else do this but makes sense since it’s open.

Wonder instead of tape, sound deadening would work.

I don’t know if the foam is necessary or not, I had it, used it, it worked.

I just bought some 80mil sound deadener, going to use that in those spaces. Will post. Nice find again OP.
