Well, it was bound to happen. She slid over into a tree today. Too much rain last night made for too much mud today. Anyone want to venture a guess at how much it will be to fix it? I'll try and get an estimate next week.

No clue how much it would cost, but love the sticker of "the child"

If you’re going to trail ride I wouldn’t fix it because it’s going to happen again

Unfortunately you’ll probably have to replace the bed..my guess is north of $4000

Agreed. Folks are quoting north of $1500 for scratched parking sensors. I think that’s a new bed.

Ouch!

A little sad story...

I had my F-350 at the dealer for a warranty item last year. When they called to to let me know that it was ready I did a walk around, as I usually do, and noticed that the tailgate was MISSING!...wtf!

Long story short the dealer said it wasn’t their fault but they paid my deductible and the cost to replace a regular tailgate was...$4000!

I hope the OP has better luck than me.

If this becomes a costly and consistent problem for the Gladiator on the trail I bet someone will come out with a bed side “TreeRail”.

44 years in the body shop bis.
New quarter panel, top rail, maybe the flare and blend the corner panel and maybe the rear door $4500.00 range

Holy shit! I know the pics don't show it all but it's not that bad. The flare and tailgate are fine. The plastic bed rail cap is ok, not perfect but definitely reusable. If it's anywhere near $4k it will stay like it is.

Thank you for the post. It’s important to remind ourself that nothing is bulletproof and that an accident can happens in seconds... I will consider this as a warning: I’m tempted to beat too much my Gladiator in current winter condition...

I wish you to find the cheapest scenario without any complication in the future.

Does it NEED to be fixed?

Surely there should eventually be an aftermarket bed that you can just replace panels by sliding in/out.
