You can always file through your insurance and let them go after the other person's insurance. You'd just pay your deductible which would be refunded.

Good to see Jeep is still protecting occupants and no one was seriously injured.

As I recall the cab mounts are "hydraulic" or whatever they call it. Those will be stressed, some could be sheared, transmission mounts, engine mounts, physics. Heavy items want to stay at rest more than light objects. It's like the Newton's cradle. Mass, energy transfer, etc. any time there's an impact like that, it's more than just bent sheet metal and cracked plastic that has to be considered. I've seen transmission cases end up with cracks so minor that they didn't rear their ugly heads until down the road - seeping fluids.

Well lots has happened since my original post. Woman who hit my truck didn't have insurance so my insurance company had to take care of it. They did total my gladiator as everyone anticipated. Amazingly the adjustor calculated my truck with 38,000 miles on it was worth 6K more than what I paid originally which at the time was 8% below invoice. They also paid me for missing one day of work. Can't say enough good things about Allstate .
so tomorrow I will be going to pick up my new gladiator Freedom edition with max tow and 8.4 stereo. And of course it will be hydro blue. Didn't get near the deal I did on my Overland 18 months ago , but still OK with the price. It's unreal what used gladiators are going for out there.

Unfortunate but not surprising she had no insurance.
Glad it worked out and congrats on the new Gladiator.
