Been working on this rack for a while with the guys at Xtrusion-Overland, I'm running it with the mounting brackets for the Revolver X4s tslot rails. They do custom sizes, and it is a completely modular system. I am currently finishing up lifting side panels, need the ball studs for the gas struts, and the latches.

I run the same rack but with a diamondback. I really like it!

The nice thing is that its very user-friendly to customize. There are several places to get extrusions and brackets/parts, etc so your not locked into one brand’s ecosystem.

(I’ve customized mine a bit more but here are a few pics)

Nice, I see a few Gladiators on their Facebook page, but never really see the rack mentioned here. Figured I'd post since I love the rack.

Since I've been working with them on this panel kit I have been privy to some other stuff they have in the works as well. I can't show any drawings, but they are doing fold down panels, a rear panel that will lock with the tailgate, and many others.

So is this the 18" or 22"? I'm planning to pull the trigger once I figure out the following things...
1. What's a good height for mounting kayaks over the cab, both with hard and soft tops?
2. Is there a different angle with the taller racks than the shorter ones? I fear the angle is too steep so if I go for a 23" for example, it'll be too narrow at the top and I won't be able to fit 4 kayaks (compared to the current width of the hard top) I would rather an angle that matches the sides of the jeep.
3. For hauling 150lbs of kayaks at 22 or 23" high should I get the offroad plates?
4. Will this work with my mopar tonneau and unistrut rails. I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes assuming I buy the extended wings.

Also, if they were to come up with some sheet Aluminum flip-up panels and a top panel that would essentially bolt right up to the frame and at least 95% close off that space, AND add plexiglass window options, I would basically have to drive there and hand them all of my money. Keep it less than the cost of a leer cap (and way less than the rsi and they'd have the market tied up)

1. My rack is 22 inches and is about an inch lower than the soft top. I think they advertise 22 inches as level with the hard top. So if you need it flush with the soft top you'd want a 23 inch rack.
2. As far as angle goes, the current Gladiator brackets only have a 9° angle to them. With the wide brackets to work with a tonneau cover you should be good.
3. I would consider the offroad plates, at least as an added insurance. You aren't adding a ton of weight, but it is all at the top.
4. It depends on which mopar tonneau you have. The rack won't work with any of the tri-fold covers, but if it is a roll up it will be fine.

I'm not sure if they have plans for a solid hard panel cover yet, but they are working on integrating a soft cover that attaches to the rails.

What is the height of the rack here?

To clarify, with the roll up molar tonneau it will be able to be rolled up? Are there limitations? i.e. can it be rolled all the way up to the cab?

It's difficult to find that info online and a few other racks are "compatible" but sometimes that just means it can be rolled up like 10" and not all the way to the cab.

The OP mentions the Revolver X4s. Can I assume that it will work with that too and will roll all the way up?

I can roll it up to the front uprights. I think I lost maybe 2 inches.

So the 22" rack will clear the cab with a hardshell RTT correct? Taking a look at these guys as well if so.

I'm going to go with "it should". You would have to verify with the guys at Xtrusion. Jon and Alan are both good guys and pretty quick to respond.

I actually asked that same question yesterday.

I'm wanting the smallest possible gap with the RTT extending slightly over the cab. Was hoping with the brackets sitting on top of the revolver rails that it would give it that extra clearance. They said I could get by with the 22", but that I'd be safer at 23" with the amount of cab flex that's possible.
