Hey all and yay, another tire/rim thread. Help us choose what to mount on what, ...
Vehicle in question JT Rubicon, stock.
We got the Falken M/T on the vehicle when we bought it.
In Germany in winter one requires the 3peak snowflake icon for insurance purposes and a friend is going larger tires. He would sell me his Geolandar AT 285 75 r17 for winter, but... he suggests, buy cheap takeoff rims (for which we have the documents that state you can legally mount large 34" tires on them) for and mount his on those.
How about a different idea.
Mount his on the stock rubicon rims (also have the documents for those) and buy some beadlocks to put the Falken on for now (should be possible right?).
Then if we want to go bigger we can. (the rubicon rims are 7.5" anything larger than 34.x so just under 35s is not legal on that width)
This way we don't buy double, obviously the beadlock rims are expensive here.
What do you guys and girls think
Buy cheap now and then buy a complete new set or future proof now...
Best regards
