I've only got a few hundred miles on them. I'm loving them so far. They aired them up to 36psi. I was skeptical when he told me and assumed I'd be airing them down to 30 when I got home but I've kept them at 36 and they handle great. Nearly no tracking or mushy wandering.

High points:

- Road force dynamically balanced, the installer said it was rare that such an aggressive tire balances out so effortlessly. They intended on billing me an extra .5 increment assuming they'd be a bear to dial in but that wasn't the case.

- They are as quiet as the DuraTracs I ran on a previous jeep and just a bit louder than Falken Wildpeaks to give you a frame of reference. Unbelievable really given they look like normal tires dipped in torture, gnarl and circular saw blades. I would call BS instantly if I were to look at the tire and hear someone claim they were only mildly louder than an aggressive all terrain but that is exactly what Yokohama aimed to achieve with these and the feedback so far mirrors my experience. Not sure how they did it but they did.

- Visually they stop me in my tracks just like I used to when I first got the truck. Loved the Toyos, zero issues taking them to TX, FL, UT, WY and much in-between. Those were very tame and capable off-road but these are just bonkers on the eye (IMO).

- They are a bit heavier than my Toyos but I can't tell behind the wheel.

Low points:

- Price. I paid $1,479 shipped for these 35x12R17s. I don't consider myself a skimper on gear and would much rather save up incrementally for proven stuff but I don't like paying that kind of money for tires which haven't been out long. I don't anticipate any issues but I'm also feeling like they better be trouble free for that kind of money (specifically in a 17" diameter 35" tire).

So far I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Lastly, @hjdca thanks for your input last month on the Yoko g003.

@staying_tuned,

Hey that's great information on a new tires maiden voyage. Yokohama has always been a solid tire brand but its great when we can put real world use to it. Thank you for taking the time to post its performance pluses and minuses.

I'm anxiously awaiting for the time to air down and hit some trails. We've got a few hollows on the property that I couldn't traverse down and over reasonably without tearing up the surface on the OC3s due to the persistently moist clay. The OC3s would quickly clog. I'm hoping these will just stick and carry me along no problem. I'll post back results once I get a few off-road scenarios down.

I've got probably 3k or so on my 37x13.50s . They are pretty damn impressive as far as noise , ride and tracking . Road snow and rain have not been an issue , really good actually. One look at these and a person would never believe me (us) .

Just a quick follow-up on these. They've been through a rotation and are wearing evenly. They continue to track straight and haven't let me down. The only change would be dropping the PSI down to 30. I had started them at 36 but it seemed like they'd get squirrelly under certain scenarios where I'd hit a rut or something in a particular way and they'd take a sec to get it together if you know what I mean.

At 30, they stopped the occasional jitteriness and I haven't noticed a MPG hit. The downside, and primary reason came back to post, is that they are now quite a bit louder. I knew they'd be louder over time but the way they market these led me to believe they wouldn't start growling until close to end of life. It isn't extreme by any means but it is loud enough to where I think they should stop marketing them as a revolutionary quiet mud tire : o ) Performance is incredible otherwise though, we have areas on our property that I simply avoid. Deep sucking clay that stays wet. With these I can crawl right through no problem.
