He's got the windshield in there. I believe the other 4 bolts are for the under seat storage bolts that hold the box to the floorboard.

Probably door frame bolts. Those come off too!

I remember seeing something going across the back of the inside of the cab when reading the hardtop removal instructions that came with the tool kit. It was a large panel across the back. Anyone remember what that looked like and what it actually is?

It is the windshield. The four bolts that are in the box are the four T40 bolts that hold the metal door stop. The four windshield bolts are T50.

Thats right! I just pushed mine in the door and threw them away. This is what its for.
