Going to be while until done but , I am putting a 100watt solar panel on roof of my RSI cap, with Zamp controller to supply my Genesis dual battery house battery. With a lot of support from member Chorky here helped me down the path and we studied my loads and time and the AGM battery 64AH will power my ARB Elements fridge plant long for my use. I am flat mounting it on roof just in front of pressure vent, to allow me to have cable enter through vent, the supplied fuse on panel will be inside at the pressure vent, the controller will mount drivers side rear pretty high. I always try and buy American and did in this case , I did go with an Obsidian for the weight 10.78 lbs. and the low profile of .67”. Very happy with the quality of the blem panel, can’t see anything oblivious . Output of panel is 5.01 amps at 26.15 volts, 43.6”X 20.7”X.67” high. I also ordered two sets of low profile feet to support it solid on roof, it will not be visible from the ground as most other solar panels are 1.5” high and a lot are silver.
That’s all, be patient I’m old and slow and very busy, want it done by April 15 for first surf fishing trip…..Jack

Awesome! you are the only one i found on the INTERNETS that posted this. I'm also looking to mount the solar panel ontop of my smartcap as well as run wiring through the pressue air vent. Has there been any problems with doing this? such as water leaks? Cheers

Jon, no problems with leaking, I am very happy with the Zamp panel, the setup works for me, don’t really give it much thought, which means it is working great. Only leaks I ever get are car wash with the high pressure spray coming thought pressure vent and it is just drips ….Jack

thanks for replying, Jack. To my surprise when i removed the air pressure vent… there are no openings. Did you have to drill a small hole to allow to run the wires? Thanks

The Zamp panel I used the connector just made it out from under to clamp to the cord going to solar manager , plugged into cord take it over top and come back where the foam filter is I split foam a bit with razor blade and put cord in slot. It doesn’t leak, but drilling hole would be a problem I think.
