First mod and something all JK/JL/TJ/JT owners should do.

Flip that rear view mirror upside down. Just try it....

And it cost 0.00 bucks.

Haha I did this after I got mine and the whole thing came off! Had a hell of a time getting it back in.

It doesn't work with the electric mirror, and with the JK having lights in it, those become useless too. I might glance at the JT mirror, but I think it will do nothing. I have the ACC and the box puts the mirror annoyingly low.

Lol. Me too which is why I was surprised it came off. It never happened on my previous Wranglers. At first I thought it had broken off but then saw that it has to slide into a groove.

On the JK, flipping it gave you more clearance for viewing under it, and gave more of a downward angle, which some people found to be better. But if you had the auto-dimming mirror with lights, then the dimming didn't work right, and the lights became useless.

The JT no longer has lights, and I don't know what effect it would have on dimming. I looked at mine and it would definitely add clearance, which is limited with the ACC box in the way. So I will try it.

Snipe actually do exist, and we hunt them in AZ.
Yes, they are a real bird, but you must have never heard of the folklore stories in the SouthEast about taking someone "snipe hunting"... It's a pretty funny practical joke to play on someone.

Yes, I've heard it a lot, and am also amused we actually have a season for it. Most of the people who I know used it as a joke are from the midwest. My friends visiting from Louisiana this weekend had never heard of it.

So, unrelated, trust me, if you angle the mirror just right into the sun while it's setting, you'll see a holographic image of a Willys moving across the mirror. You have to get the reflection just right.

So does this work on the JT without the fancy lighted rearview and auto cruise control feature?

You can physically rotate the mirror. Whether it's better ("works") or not is up to you and how you see things, how you sit in the vehicle, and what you prefer. My wife doesn't want it lower, she sits low and back. I sit up straight, and I find the mirror in the way and too low.
