Hey everyone,
I have a Gladiator sport non max tow. Im currently running 315/70/17s with a level kit up front, but i now have the itch to lift it. At least i think thats what the itch is. Ive been going back and forth between the 2" Mopar lift and the AEV Dual sport 2.5" lift. I plan to mainly stick to trails and would like to keep the 315s. Would 2.5" sit too high for the 315s? Any info, comments, or pictures would be much appreciated!
Thanks guys!

I would prob just do the AEV 2” spacer , way cheaper and all its needed for what you plan to do . The 2.5” might lift the Jeep too high for your current tires

That was my thought. Would the 315s get lost in the wheel well with a 2.5 inch kit?

Probably , just get some 35”s / OEM wheels if you want the lift and in that case I’d go for AEV
I have 2.5” with 37’s and fits nice ( it’s an Evo lift so different results though )

2.5" on a sport with 35s (315/70/17) would like fine. On a Rubicon, the tires would look a bit small.

What does “sticking to trails” mean?

The wheelbase of the JT could benefit from some clearance. I’m leaning towards either AEV or Clayton’s 2.5” lift. I’m running 35” tires and don’t plan to change until they wear out.

I stick to trails, too. This is my old JKU on part of the Alpine Loop out of Ouray. In this photo it had 33” tires and 2” lift. It was the minimum to not scrape or require a winch/strap. The JT will need 35s and a tiny bit more lift to do the same.

I’d go AEV. Their geometry correction brackets change the handling characteristics in a good way!

If you go mopar, I’d add AEV’s brackets.
^^^^^ every lifted JT should have these!

AEV is perfect for 35's-- geometry correction brackets and procal SNAP included (to recallobrate tires/speedo)... not incl in MOPAR kit. AEV kit is one of best driving (on hwy) weekend warrior kits if only do mild/moderate off-raod...

All done! I couldn’t be happier with it. The 315s fit perfectly in there. I’ll probably go to 37s once they wear out but the truck looks perfect to me. It rides really well. I think better than stock. Handles well, takes bumps really well. Overall very satisfied!

Good call! Just saw the thread but was in the same position as you a few months ago (Mopar vs AEV). Super happy with the AEV lift. I'm running 35s too...on a Rubi. Yes, 37s would look better but I already had the 35s.
