Brand new to this world. Just got a '21 Overland. Sticking to the stock tires for now, but would like tires to stick out a little more. Would wheel spacers (1, 1.5, 2 inch)work, and look decent?

What I have seen is that 1.50 and thicker will work without issue. I want to go with 1" to 1.25" max, or only 0.25". any wheels spacer that you get should be hub centric and wheel centric. The overland wheels have pockets for factory wheel studs to stick through the new spacers, usually that's only good for at max 0.50" You can always do some minor stud trimming.

I measured the pocket depth on the stock overland wheels and its 3/4" deep. So taking in consideration the stock stud length while adding 1" spacer should leave you with about 1/8" of space left over inside the pockets. So 1" wheel spacers should work. You could even grind down the stock studs 1/8" because that's about what's on the stud without threads.

FYI ... If anyone is reading this post

Just to update this post. I installed 1" wheel spacers and it's a no go. Even though the pockets are deep enough, the factory studs don't center into the pocket. They sit to the outer edge of the pocket and scrape. So even though you could mash them in there, I wouldn't believe this to be a safe thing to do. I don't think even 1.25" would work. And this is probably why we only see 1.50 and 1.75" spacer options. You could grind the pockets open a little more, it's only aluminum. But a rebalance would probably be needed after that. Oh well, I tried. Hopefully this helps others if their thinking 1" spacers. ?

Thanks for the update. Sounds like 1.5 is the way to go.
