In my 35 years of vehicle ownership I have no idea why I have never invested in one of these. Clean and bug free windshield in about a minute. Without doing it while getting gas. Best $6 I have spent in a while.

Haha I own the same one.. As an added bonus when I have my sunscreen on the outside freedom top latch has been a pain to close. Extended the handle on this & I can slide it in above the sunscreen to close the latch really easy like. Well worth the money

How is this better than the normal squeegees that are at the gas station? Do you also need to spray something on the windscreen? Would love to have a clean windscreen, am interested.

Thanks,

So is it better than a generic squeegee off Amazon? Are you using it dry? Or with some special fluid, or water?
Uhh.. Its about 1/3rd of the price of any of the extendible squeegee's I see on the first page of amazon. The point here is just that its super handy to have your own instead of having to go to the gas station. Most folks dont stop to wash their winshield just because it needs it. We do it when we get gas. When you have your own you dont have wait & you can just spend a moment to clean the window without having to make an extra stop & you can still enjoy a bug free winshield.

I use some auto glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth which works pretty well. Great idea though! We kill a lot of bugs with these Jeeps

Mix half water, 1/2 witch hazel and a few drops of dish soap in a 2 fl.oz. spray bottle. Absolutely the best eyeglass, windshield and window cleaner. The small bottle travels well on the bikes, too. Any size spray bottle will do-add soap 1-2 drops per fl.oz. Ammonia will cause plastics to dry out and become brittle. Not good for protective gear.(helmets, face shields and eyewear).

That makes sense. Thanks! I was trying to figure out what made this special and I appreciate your answer.

I've used this exact Walmart purchase in all my vehicles for ~5 years, after using different models for 10 years before that.

The 2006 H2 made depending on gas station squeegees a non-starter, so I bought a fancy extension handled unit. Once I used a GOOD squeegee it made the Hell of trashed gas station squeegees a nonstarter. I cycled through various options and this RainX unit is the best I've found. One of the first things I did when I started dating my now wife was buy her Honda SUV a squeegee, that thing has a GIGANTIC windscreen!

In my 35 years of vehicle ownership I have no idea why I have never invested in one of these. Clean and bug free windshield in about a minute. Without doing it while getting gas. Best $6 I have spent in a while.
