Took it back to the shop and they installed a Teraflex Spring Retainer Set and MetalCloak Coil Sleeves - no difference.
I just did a deadblow hammer test and the rattling is the coils: Rattle
Reported back to AEV with that and now waiting for a response.
took it to the shop that did the work. It didn't rattle the entire way there, during the 10 mile test drive or on the way back. They checked torque on the rear end and called it a day.
The next day the rattle returned and has been consistent ever since.
I bought a knock-off gopro and mounted...
Definitely under the bed somewhere. I took everything back to the installer after 30 days for a retorque. Not the rear window because I'm currently topless.
I have an appointment with them again for this Wednesday. Will report back.
It's a metallic rattle. Rolled under the truck and inspected every single part I could find, but nothing is loose. If I run over a speed hump with one rear wheel, I don't hear a thing. If I hit it with both, no matter how fast I go over it there is a rattle. Springs are in place, indexed...
I prefer TPU because it's not going to scratch the interior and it's nice and squishy. You could definitely do petg or abs, but you'd want close to 100% infill for rigidity. The way the one in my jeep works is that when my elbow is resting on it, it sags slightly and has a bit of cushion (due to...
I saw a similar one, but I couldn't justify that kind of money on something I really don't need when I could just spend about 30 minutes designing one. It only took me 3 iterations to get it just right, so I only spent about $6 on material to get to a finished product.
The complaint I read...
No. Those marks are because I bought the jeep used. Printing it with tpu shouldn't leave marks - it's soft, flexible material and it actually gives when your elbow is on it... It doesn't dig in
I can roll the window up and down and it stays in place. It's not wedged in there... It just leveraged. It should be just fine driving around with it with the window rolled down.
I got tired of trying to fit my elbow on the windowsill when the window is rolled up. Couldn't find anything like this other than the expensive canvas one with the pockets and the cupholder. This is simple, prints in 4 hours using TPU 95A and stays in place where you want it.
Feel free to print...
