15.50 inch wide tires. 17 inch by 12 wheels.
  2. Manual Shift option wears out transmission

idk but 5.13 worked great back when I had 40s. 5.38 is terrific with the 43s… pretty quick off the line and all. But it has been running higher rpms at highway speeds.
  3. Manual Shift option wears out transmission

  7. Manual Shift option wears out transmission

Nope. 5.38 yukon gears 43x15 tires. But id like to flip over to manual and push to 8th gear to drop the RPMs. I have just never done it and am cautious that’s sll.
  8. Automatic transmission with the manual option

I agree. That’s exactly what I was thinking. Since I grew up manual shifting all my cars and Jeeps /Willys.
  9. Manual Shift option wears out transmission

I’ve been thinking about using it on the highway. At 70 moh my rpms are high around 5k. Can i puush it over into manual at 70? Shift up a gear to bring the rpms down?
  10. 20' Overland - 6.5" + 43's

Man, we have had VERY similar experience with building our JTs! I also have spent way too much money and time going slowly. 2 inch lift 37s…4 inch lift 38s,40’s,42s… then 43x15 MT pro baja xs. Chromoly axle shafts adams 1350 drive shafts… did yukon 5.13 Then yukon 5.38…..i have that EXACT...
  11. A better attempt at explaining the tire size legislation (no politics, I think this description is pretty important)

The premise being that “not to be political but…” Here’s how to be exempt from an absolute ridiculous authoritarian law… so not to worry. Ah yes the crack down on emissions primarily from heavy duty diesel trucks. That did make a big difference you’re right. But taking it too far for a...
  12. Lets see them FLEXED out Jeep's with BIG tires and lifts :D

That is impressive flex with just a 2.5 inch lift!!! Is it the bump stops that stop your tires from tearing your fenders off? Im new to the whole lift kit flexing game. My Mojave is in the shop( a very good jeep shop) getting a lift right now. I hope to get as good a flex. Lol
  13. A better attempt at explaining the tire size legislation (no politics, I think this description is pretty important)

Exactly they are going after you. Saying what can and can’t be sold. Let Capitalism do its thing. If the tire is not good then people will not buy it… but telling us we can’t buy it is Authoritarianism. Like how big of a soft drink you can but or what wattage light bulb or whether you can...
  14. A better attempt at explaining the tire size legislation (no politics, I think this description is pretty important)

But once a Rule/Law is passed, THEN the Exceptions can simply and easily be changed.* that is how Authoritarianism works. Heat the water slowly and the frogs will never know they are being cooked until it is too late. This methodology is classic and Obvious to anyone paying attention.

What about “Slides?” Those slideouts the you see on motorhomes… that would really expand the space.
