Well, your dealer is right and they're wrong. Yes on the 14mm studs, but they fit just fine. The taper on the lug nut is the same, the wheels slide over the studs without interference. No issue at all.

No issues, I was usually in 1st or 2nd gear coming down, letting the gearing keep the speed under control. But I had no issues when I took my '48 CJ2a up and down last year. ;) I didn't see any ammo cans, but probably drove right next to it.

You have too much resistance, rolling and wind, to get it to stay in 8th with 4.10 gears and 37's. The 8 speed does a pretty good job of making up for bigger tires with 4.10 gears, but no matter how you cut it, at the end of the day your final drive ratio is off... and the final drive ratio is...
