I have a perspective that I don't think I have ever seen posted in any of the hundreds of diesel jeep threads I have read over the 15 years of waiting and 2 years of owning. It all starts with Crude.
Crude Oil is the raw material which gets pumped out of the ground, shipped around the world, and...
Greetings from Shore Drive.
I will be looking into and joining up with any groups for trail rides to Peter's Run, or Uwharrie.
Actually any Jeep'Fest events are fun too.
Here are a few pix.
So is it just me, or does these trucks look even better with some junk in the trunk?!!
13k miles in 6 months.
2 Badge of Honor trail rides, Obstacle Courses, National Parks, Surf fishing expeditions that involved taking a ferry just to getaway from it all….

So let's not forget what forum we are on. This is a Jeep forum, and if there is any group of vehicle owners who will do whatever it takes to increase any aspect of their vehicles performance or capacity... its a bunch of jeepers.
So what would it take?
Dana 60's would be plenty to go up to 1...
There's a company from down-under called "The Long Ranger" and they have been making auxiliary tanks for installation between the framerails where it belongs. It's an additional 18 gallons of gasoline. I don't see a diesel version yet.

3.)...
With the huge price up charge that Jeep is charging for the EcoDiesel, they should be including Dana 60 rear on the Gladiator.
Then it could handle all the torque of the EcoDiesel/Rubicon ultra-low gearing; with full 7650/1700 tow/payload capacities.
It’s ridiculous to de-rate an engine/tranny...
I saw this video yesterday, and I love it.
I think the reason the cargo rating is low is the Mud Tires have a lower speed and load rating than standard AT.
I started sending emails to Jeep back in 2006 begging for a diesel Wrangler, got my hopes up. Bought a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder CRD Liberty...
....funny you should mention that.
It was Spring of 2014 and I was taking that back roads (aka: the "Alley") through Florida on a late Sunday night. When I pulled around a soft curve at about 50mph and met this guy...
