Well,
This is the first time I have posted anything about any of my Jeep’s I have owned, so might as well do a full build.
2021 JTRD Sting Grey custom order. Only add on was the cold weather package. Full build will include full interior and stereo upgrade, suspension and axle upgrades, 38 inch tires and more things I am probably going to throw money at.
I am starting with the interior build prior to exterior and suspension. The only things I have done so far is add a Mopar tonneau hard cover, hot head headliners and mopar kick panel guards. Just had the bed sprayed with Line-x, a must do. The rest of the parts to go in to follow:

armolite flooring
Hot head assassin full floor kit
8.4 inch screen upgrade (came with 7 inch)
JL audio C2 6.5 component fronts
JL audio C2 6x9 rears.
full sound deadening in pods and speaker bar with Polly fill.
amp pro AP4-CH41R2 for factoryheadunit
5 channel NVX VAD11005 1100 watt 5 channel amp
Metra speaker pods
MB quart 6x9 sound bar mount kit
Stinger amp kit
JL audio under seat amp mount.
JL audio 6.5 or 8 inch w3 subwoofer( still deciding due to space limitations)
VOswitch JL300 switch control system.

I just started the tear down tonight and will take my time with the interior build and try to document what I go through. Hopefully it blows the stock system out of the water..

Looks great! What are you doing with the 7 inch head unit? My 2021 came with 5inch screen and it sucks! Woudl be interested in purchasing if you don't have plans for it

I actually replaced it with an 8.4 inch screen. I still have the 7inch and bezel and have the unlock code. Just let me know if you want it.

Round 1 of major mods complete. Stereo is in and all hooked up. Sounds absolutely night and day from the factory system. I still need to do some setup with the amp pro and some tuning, but it puts out way more sound without distortion at higher volumes. I haven’t hah any static or bleed over that I can hear. I ran the RCAs and speaker wire separate from the power cable, so seems to be all good for now.
If anyone is interested in upgrading the 7inch to the 8.4., here is the part nunber I got from all mopar parts 68472596AJ. This one worked perfectly in the 21 JTRD. The USB port in the center console works with apple car play and no issues with the backup camera. I was able to get off road pages working with the Tazer mini. Sirius satellite works as well, even the wifi hotspot is working. All in all, I think this is a fair upgrade above the factory systems. Just need to add some more sound deadening in the panels by the sounds bar as those 6x9s put out a decent amount of mid bass.
Next up, lift kit tires and axle build
Rock krawler 3.5 inch x factor
fox 2.5 elite shocks
Full synergy steering and brace.
Custom front drivesaft
RCV axles and trusses front and rear.
cheonoly axle shafts in the rear
4.56 gears.
38 inch milestars.
Apex performance steering boost kit.

Looking good! How are you liking the NVX VAD11005 amp after having a little more time with it? I'm in the planning phase of replacing all speakers, adding a 5 channel amp, and adding a sub in my JLUR which is Sting Grey of course! Would love to get a big name brand like Audio Control or JL, but having second thoughts about the cost associated with those names. My biggest concern would be amp noise and sound quality, but you mentioned you hadn't had any issues with that. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

So far I am loving the VAD11005. For the price, right around 320 bucks, it blows the factory system out of the water. No granted I had the 7inch base system, it still puts out way more volume and doesn’t distort until you really crank it all the way up to pretty much max volume, and even then it’s not terrible. Now, I have the Jl C2s, so not the highest quality, if I went with the C7, or maybe even C5, I would have looked into a JL amp, but this does exactly what I want it to and sounds pretty dang good. The Amp pro has a TOS link output, although the amp can’t take that signal, I was thinking of adding a JL DSP to see what it does, and I would still come out cheaper than on of their higher end amps. I am now running the Jl 6.5 low profile subwoofer, and it brings in the lows pretty well, not a ton of bass, but gives it that solid lower foundation for me. I also ran all new 12 gauge oxygen free copper speaker wire and routed all of the RCAs and speaker wire away from the power wire, so I don’t get any feedback from that. The amp pro has some oddities about it, when changing channels or such it cuts out quick with a touch of static, but really isn’t that bad. I haven’t really messed with the programming yet such as minimum volume and turning the tones down, but we will see as I mess with it more.

one thing I will say, if you do go with the NVX amp, the Jl audio amp mount rack for under the seat doesn’t work. The amp is too wide snd it has side ports for the wire inputs and it will make contact with the metal side frame of the seat and pull the wires out. I just made a thin mount and hinted it to the new armolite floor.

Well, no Rubicon trip for August as my axles took longer than expected. Got confirmation the should be shipping this week or early next week. Ended up going with the Fusion4x4 elite Kingpin 60 set with 4.56 gearing. Finally got my wheels in. KMC Desert beadlocks with 4.75 backspacing. Hopefully will be able to get the axles and suspension mods started soon after they come in.

Finally, trying to start the young one early. Maybe if I get him hooked I can justify more upgrades.. maybe.
