  3. Dream Camper Setup😍

Wind noise is minimal. The Gladiator rack’s wind deflector is designed to match the vehicle’s contours, eliminating gaps that can cause whistling and helping reduce overall wind noise. @Steven_B feel free to chime in with your personal experience!
  4. Kicker speaker upgrade in the roll bar

Bandit nailed it. I have had these discussions with owners on Facebook before and I have myself did the floor of my gladiators and always do inside the enclosures with sound dampening and polyfill. But I summed it up exactly the same, I built my systems for my needs within my price point vs...
  5. Kicker speaker upgrade in the roll bar

When mentioning dampening material here I’m not talking about noise reduction in the vehicle. Instead this is about noise control within the speaker enclosure. Sound (vibrations) come primarily from the cone but if you look at an audio graph from a speaker you’ll see bleed off from the rear of...
  6. Kicker speaker upgrade in the roll bar

I've actually been reading that members who use acoustic dampening materials in the JT don't really notice much difference in outside noise reduction compared to sealing off any leaky spots (some say there's a spot below the windshield near the door that makes a good difference, others suggest...
  7. What’s the ONE piece of advice you’d give to a new Gladiator owner?

Replace those little cheap plastic windshield visor supports with the good aluminum ones available either on ebay or Amazon, before the stock plastic hangers break. Seal your rear window with 7mm silicone tubing (search the forums here) if it leaks. Both of these ^^^^ are 15 minute, $15...

  9. Dual exhuast thoughts

Jeep has done a great job tuning the exhaust. However the parameters from the government are very strict about sound decibels in total. That being the overall sounds made at a certain drive by distance under certain throttle settings. Both exhaust, intake roar and mechanical noise effects that...
  10. Latest MT Clutch Recall - Should It Be Skipped??

1000000000% electronic throttle is vague af. Get a throttle controller. I have the EVC unit. I use the auto setting mostly, but the Ultimate setting when I'm off-roading. You'll have much better throttle tip in and control. Makes the engine feel snappy.
  11. Latest MT Clutch Recall - Should It Be Skipped??

Yes, synchros are just to increase life, reduce noise and wear on gear teeth. I drove my Scion (camry engine) without the clutch and didn't have issues. Same with my ZX6R, 49k miles with minimal clutch usage when commuting and no issues (and I drag raced and did stunts with that same clutch)...
  12. Naked, Topless Doorless Gladiator Poll

I've found opening the rear slider helps, works better than just side windows open I usually have sunrider on though if the season is right, different kinds of noise and flapping
  13. Naked, Topless Doorless Gladiator Poll

Need more options listed: Tube doors Covered tube doors Half doors Soft doors Bestop Front sunshade Full sunshade Windshield down Doors on with Ts/HardTop off looks weird, but rides really nice on those Sunday drives through wine country. Surprisingly, this combination has a lower amount of...
  14. Decided to supercharge over a swappina to a Hemi

So the manufacturer said what you would expect them to say when they are going to make eight thousand dollars off a sell. Kidding. I think it will be fine under normal use. I don't think there kit will have any issues at all. They don't even make the supercharger head unit. It's a Vortech...
  15. Decided to supercharge over a swappina to a Hemi

Got this message from RIPP this morning: Hi Don, Thank you for your order! We don't spend much time on forums anymore but, yeah there's still a community of people that use them. Some good information for sure but with any social media you get a lot of noise as well. We honestly don't have the...

  19. Reduce Noise with interior roof panels install?

Yes. Installed Hotheads two Summers ago. Improve road/wind noise and also improve heat/cool protection in Summer and WInter.
  20. Reduce Noise with interior roof panels install?

I installed the DEI Headliner in mine. My motivation was heat reduction more than noise reduction. Since I already had sound deadening sheets, I covered the complete area that the panels were going to cover. Not just the strips that come in some headliner kits. I can tell a huge difference...
