Most if not all of the aftermarket side panels fit the trail rail holes (JCR, Builtright, Motobuilt). The only ones I've seen require drilling are the Motobuilt ones. However, since the others of similar design are fine with just the trail rail holes, it's likely those will be as well and...
The thread title was "additional costs for more fun in a Jeep." If (Rubicon) then "additional costs = OP proposed additional cost-7600"
IOW, if you buy a Rubicon, you don't have to spend $7600 of that cost you outline after buying the Rubicon. Adding in Rubicon price differences from a Sport...
Yeah I moved it to the bottom bar as well. 1 button boom. Super useful when pulling into the garage, then flipping the rear camera button to make sure the tail clears the door.
Rubicon because it was ready to do anything I wanted it to do out of the box and covered by factory warranty. Outside of all the mods that I'd do to any trim level of course.
Now, however, I'd buy a Mojave.

The key concept here is delayed gratification. I ordered mine and went through a dealer on this forum who advertises a flat percentage below invoice. Find one near you. Use the spreadsheets. Look at the incentives. Do the homework and math.
I ended up with exactly what I wanted (less all the...
I'll admit, one of my cars had a dealer-inflated markup on it that I bought. My s2000 was MSRP'ed at 32 and change. Markups were running 10k-15k. I found one I wanted and went with a friend of mine. Exactly what I was looking for, and the price was "36k," My friend asked "out the door?" and the...
I'm still deciding between these and the Motobilt ones I recently found (https://motobilt.com/collections/jeep-gladiator-20-current-year/products/jeep-jt-gladiator-bed-rack-passenger-side-molle-panel)
I like the one-piece design versus the 2-piece of the JCR. It also has the option of...
Interesting that you were able to put the angle iron in facing down. I didn't have room there on mine without scraping the side of the bay. I used the same method for the solenoid, just painted the angle iron to match the body color and put it in with the edge facing up.
This is a great idea. I'm planning on putting in a top hoist, but I can put a lip on the shelf and slot the top into it with a little slack from the hoist to get it out of the way.
Not a fan of most of the suggestions here, honestly. I like having more choices for options that I pay for rather than less choice and living with things I paid for that have no value to me. For example, not everybody needs the aux switches - so leave them as a cheap option. Not everybody wants...
The only people I've had not like it are my daughter and 2 middle-aged lesbian cops - one of whom happened to be a jeep snob.
Daughter didn't like the Jeep look in the front, but it's a jeep. That's the point. Fortunately, she neither A) drives it nor B) has any say in purposing decisions.
The...
