  2. New Mexico 2023 Jeep Gladiator on 1-Tons

Are you looking for a set of OEM Dana 44 axles? I just did a Tera 60 swap. I’m going to list a set of Rubcion axles soon. Regeared to 5.13 ratio, Chromoly rear shafts, RCV 2 piece front shafts, Metalcloak baller joints, Reid Nuckles.
  3. Ummmm,, help? What is this and why might it be leaking, and is this a big problem?

My oil cooler housing replacement was covered under extended warranty, no questions asked.
  4. Do ACE Rock Sliders Interfere with RokBlokz

They all work fine together, there’s a nice cutout for the mopar rails on Rokblokz and they don’t interfere with the ACE sliders. I went with ACE to keep the Mopar rails. After installing the rear anti-rock the brackets would need to be welded together so I removed the rear flaps. The ace...
  5. Ummmm,, help? What is this and why might it be leaking, and is this a big problem?

agreed, this seems like a likely cause … I had an issue with the plastic housing cracking on the oil cooler and it looked very similar, what a mess.
  6. CavFab JT 2.5 Ton Steering Available NOW!

What’s the weight of this system? I’m curious if there’s much weight savings over steel systems.
  7. Ace Engineering Sliders install?

You need to take each of the body mount bolts all the way out and add some new locktite before putting the bolt thru the holes in the mounts for the sliders. I used jack stands to hold the slider up to make it easier to maneuver. I had no issues, some bolts were a little more difficult to break...
  8. Metalcloak HD Ball Joints

@b-roc I called Metalcloak yesterday and they said they’ll start shipping the new design compatible with RCVs starting October 9th. They updated shipping times and added new photos that show the HD ball joints clearing the RCV boots. He said they’ll remove the note about it not clearing as well.
  9. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

@jmdwifi - Where did you find a Dana 60 with a 5 lug pattern? It looks like east coast gear supply but was it a custom build? I don’t see it on their site
  10. Narrowed down: X Factor 4-link or MetalCloak GC

+1 for Metalcloak, it’s outstanding and their joints are way better! I was in the same position deciding and watched a few others at EJS. I ultimately landed on Metalcloak because Rock Krawler joints are too noisy and require maintenance. It also required welding and I feel more comfortable with...
  11. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

Yessir, I've been on the (co4x4rnr.org) team for over a year and a half now ... it's been an absolute blast and it truly feels great to help others on a donation / no cost basis on top of getting out on the trail more. We really do fill a niche gap that normal tow services cannot bridge and take...
  12. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

It’s a great tool to have, it feels a bit more safe & precise than flame (especially in tight quarters or around turns, near plastics, near fluid lines, etc). I’ve used it for a several other non-Jeep things already too. It truly helps release really seized hardware on all sorts of things in...
  13. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

Indeed, I was being slightly sarcastic but also hoping for the best lol thanks for humoring me. On a more serious note - the new bolts do go into the original motor mount weld nut threads from the top (which is why I torqued to what I found for original equipment and put some medium thread...
  14. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

Jealous, I’d love to settle in more central CO at some point … I’m in the Front Range / Boulder County but usually out somewhere most weeks between Colorado 4x4 Rescue & Recovery missions, events / trail runs, & all the things the mountains have to offer. The snow has been falling great (so far)...
  15. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

Hopefully @ShadowsPapa doesn't tell me my research on this torque spec was wrong or I just might have to do it all over again! I’m also a perfectionist @Summitdan & glad I didn’t try to reuse the existing bolt/threads ? the replacements are way better for the use case.
  16. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

LOL, at least you have something to remember it by - way better than a tattoo. My dad kept telling me to wait before taking bolts out out all the way after showing him your branding ?. It’s amazing how fast these mini induction heaters can get something red hot, the bracket even picked up some...
  17. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

Nice, I’ll have to ask them at Winter 4x4 Jamboree if they’ll hook me up. I noticed you’re in Colorado too…we’ll have to connect sometime on the trails! Thank you for sharing your experience and starting this thread, it was very helpful.
  18. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

Indeed, totally worth it though! I really lucked out the lower oil pan held up through a pretty bad hit. It wasn’t too tough to replace though. The hardest part was carefully slicing thru the old RTV & prying it it off after the bolts were removed. As well as carefully cleaning up all the old...
  19. 3.6 Rear motor mount bolt removal

It took my dad and I about two hours to get these motor mount bolts out and replaced for the next venture aluminum belly skid with UHMW. The drivers side was significantly easier because it was accessible from above with a lot of ratchet extension. I used a mini induction heater because of the...

OP did say bottom side of the bed which is what is pictured in the diagrams in the PDF I posted but thanks again, this helps complete the picture of more of the entire bed box.
