  1. Turning radius.

It will be interesting to see how the turning radius changes with 37" tires. On the Rubicon the axles are 1.5" wider, so I am guessing the steering stops will be more forgiving of larger tires, and the non-Rubicon/Max Tow packages will need the steer stops adjusted.
  2. Swapping what out for JT

I will be giving up my 2008 JKU. I will likely sell it sooner than later to take trade in values out of any negotiation process.
  3. Jeep Gladiator Rubicon (Freedom Edition?) Spotted

I really like that look. It wouldn’t surprise me if someone in the aftermarket makes a front clip and bed to give that look.
  4. 3rd brake light

Jeep said that they were the first to integrate the brake light into the gate. Other trucks have it on the cab, but with the removable top that isn’t a viable option for the Gladiator.
  5. Which trim?

If I am being honest I feel like the Sport S with the max tow package is going to be very compelling. The only things from the Rubicon it is missing is the lockers, sway bar, and maybe some of the interior upgrades. My past Wrangler was a Rubicon and I will likely go Rubicon again but the...
  6. Scrambler (JT) 2 door/Extended cab

If the Gladiator uses the same frame as the Ram Dakota I could see it being more likely at that point in time for a 2 door Gladiator (assuming they offer a 2 door Dakota). I don't have a crystal ball, but the entire auto industry is really working towards as much standardization of parts to...
  7. Scrambler (JT) 2 door/Extended cab

The better question would be outside of the fleet market what is the cab break out in sales units or percentages. The reason why I say outside of fleet is that there are a lot of people who will buy large quantities of a truck based solely on price for trades (construction or delivery) where I...
  8. What makes the Rubi look so much more badass?

I would agree that it wouldn't be hard to have the Rubicon stickers optional on the Rubicon. On the Ram Power Wagon and on the Raptor they have the side graphics as an optional sticker. I think that it really comes down to branding more than anything else, and the Power Wagon and Raptor have...
  9. What makes the Rubi look so much more badass?

On the 2019 JL that statement is correct. Since the JT is a 2020 I am not sure if the dashes on all Rubicon JLs will be red, or if there will be two (or more) colors that are determined based on the color of the JT/JL.
  10. Scrambler (JT) 2 door/Extended cab

I support other cab/bed options just because I always support more options for those that need it. At the same time I will say that the people on the forums are a small subset of the overall owners, and any polling on here doesn't reflect orders/sales to Jeeps. For example on the forums I would...
  11. Gladiator Spotted in Novi, Michigan possibly with Mopar lift, beadlock wheels and 37" tires

Chances are good the size difference will trigger the ESP and other electronics due to the axle spinning at a much different rate.
  12. What makes the Rubi look so much more badass?

I tend to agree. On my Rubicon JK I de-badged it since I prefer the cleaner look. On the Gladiator we will see if I leave the Rubicon badges on or not.
  13. Tip start

Isn’t TIP the throttle interrupt that turns the engine off when stopped to save fuel? On my other Jeeps there has been a button to disable it. On my Chevy there isn’t a button. Overall the argument is in town you get better economy since the engine isn’t running at idle.
  14. Removal of the hard top.

I am guessing the back half of the top will be under 50 lbs since there isn't much to it. If you are used to taking the top of a JL/JK off then it should be easy to get off.
  15. Tops! Canopy / covers / toppers / racks possibilities for Gladiator - Show me!

There will be issues. The biggest question is how much flex is there from the back of the bed to the front windshield to be able to determine how much tolerance needs to be built in. Since most of the concepts would be some kind of fiberglass bed topper that ties into the roof I feel like that...
  16. 2 Door Gladiator Version?

I would also like to see a 2 door option (but knowing my lifestyle it wouldn't be for me), just to see more options. The one issue that you run into with a 2 door is that you have two groups to cater to. One group wants to use the space for a longer bed, and the other group wants the shorter...
  17. Auto or 6-Speed....and why

Since my wife has a hard time with a stick I will be going the auto route. Also on the JT the additional gears for likely better efficiency, additional towing capacity, and convenience of an auto are also selling points. There are times when it is nice to be able to have more control over the...
  18. Colors: What color will your Gladiator be?

I want Gobi, but with the red accents on the interior of the Rubicon I am thinking I might go with red.
  19. Who is waiting for the diesel?

In all fairness any engine upgrade from stock is more about making a vehicle more enjoyable to drive. The good thing about the diesel is that financially it makes more sense than the 6.4 Hemi upgrades people are doing. :)
  20. who is getting the bluetooth speaker?

I am not interested in paying for it. I think it should be included in the premium audio package. Wireless technology is moving so fast that over the life of the Jeep it will be the first thing to be outdated/irrelevant.
