No, I don't have a shot of the trailcam view. But without the lights the view is just as if the bumper isn't there. With the lights I get a good shot between the lights but the lights do bracket the image. It is still a useful view with the lights.
Our Tundra 65 fits fine but they Tundra 105 is too tall. However, Yeti's Tundra 75 would work. Get the optional tie-down straps that loop through the top of the cooler to make it easier to mount.
The bumper doesn't get in the way at all. However, the big LED driving lights that are mounted on top sort of do. The camera looks through the middle between the two lights but the lights block some of the peripheral so you get a narrower view instead of the full wide view.
Do a Google search for "Mopar 82215382". That's the part number of the flat towing harness for the JL. I found them at numerous places at various prices but the best price at that time was www.moparwholesaleparts.com
You can bypass the ESS. I bought a SmartStop module that plugs in underneath the dash. It remembers the last position you left the switch in when you shut off the engine and sets it up that way when you next start the vehicle. I plugged in the module and turned off my ESS and it's stayed that...
That's the opposite of what is usually seen at the rear of the coach. Normally the left and right turn signals carry the brake light signal at the trailer light socket. I'm sure that the are signal combiners available at most auto parts stores or online that will add the brake light signal to...
Sounds like all you have to do is relocate the 12 volt signal from the blue wire terminal to the black wire terminal on your RV's socket. That'll make it standard. That wouldn't be the first RV that was wired non-standard.:)
The harness will work. It works just fine on my Gladiator. Other than the need to lengthen it the only other issue was that the license plate light connector is different between the JT and JL. I just didn't connect that one.
The color coding is a bit different than what I was used to. I've...
I prefer the lower mount. The Rockhard bumper that I use is the https://www.rockhard4x4.com/product_p/rh-90211.htm bumper, which has the lower winch mount. They have stubby versions as well. That keeps it out of the radiator's air flow so that it won't impede cooling. Also, if you do need to...
I've used Rockhard bumpers. They look great, are tough, have excellent mounting points for D-ring shackles, can be flat towed and have a lower winch mounting location.
Does anyone have the factory trailer brake controller option yet? I've seen the picture in the printed brochure and it shows the knob as a close-up but I can't see where it is installed. It does say that it'as not available with the smokers package so my guess is that it goes where the ashtray...
We've been dealing with dog fur forever, after having 5 German Shepherds over the years. Their double coat just keeps getting all over the place. Presently dog-less due to sound attack of bloat but on the list for GS #6 soon. Tried vacuuming but that leaves 10-15% left that weaves into fabric...
It sounds like your are more concerned about our Wisconsin winters than off-road travel. Generally a tow strap or chain will be sufficient as log as someone else is around to pull you out. I do have a winch and all that but also carry a Handle-All kit...
Never had any issues with mine. There was a recall to replace the driveshaft. It seem that some u-joints did not get any grease at the factory. Mine was fine but they replaced it anyway under the recall. No clunking on mine but that might be what you are experiencing if your u-joint is dry and...
The Gladiator, as well as out 2012 JKUR, doesn't require a key to unlock the steering so you don't have to have the key on or anything to do with the pushbutton start. You can leave it in park. You just connect your tow bar, slip the transfer case into neutral, hook up the safety cables and plug...
Yep, we had a 40' 400 HP and a 42' 400 HP before this one and never felt any Jeeps when towing. Our first coach was a 33' gasser with a Workhorse 8.1 liter Vortec V8. I knew when our Grand Cherokee was behind me in that one but the diesel have enough torque and don't need to scream as high as...
The only reason to disconnect the battery is to prevent a drain on the toad while towing. But the lights are operated by the motorhome and you don't need the key to be on so unless you have an auxiliary braking system that runs off the Jeep's battery, there is no drain. Your motorhome will have...
