Except the tires. DW is a very high percentage caused by imbalance in tires, then accentuated by loose/damaged/weak parts that allow the oscillations to persist and increase. Since the wobble you have got worse when you rotated the tires, my bet is on the tires.
Our '05 TJ came from factory with 205/75/15, had to lift 3 1/2 inches to get the 33's on it. Even in '05 35's were really a large tire, that required a lot of work to fit and make the rig last. Full sized rigs back in the day would need a lift or trimming to fit 31's... I had a '79 Cherokee in...
… I have a lift, of sorts… Rubicon suspension on an Overland, and 1.5” spacers up front…
I do plan on the JKS 3.5/2 inch j-spec lift though… I need to ditch the spacer lift…
After the installation of 33x12.5x15 Falken Wildpeak at3w last year on the TJ, we were so impressed we went with at4w 35x11.5x17. They look taller than the MT BB 35x12.5x17. (BB tires had almost 70k miles; great tire, just noisy…).
Now we’ll see how they do! On the Mojave wheels, they are...
I'd have thought that after the TJ doing this and the JK actually having a recall to fix the issue, that Jeep would have fixed the issue.
In the TJ, the cause is the ethanol enriched fuels cause the roll-over check valve ball to swell and then get stuck. I wonder if it's the same in the JT...
then you’re going to want something like a sunrider.
Another option is the rugged ridge soft top, and soft doors. I have the RR top, and it works well, has a sunrider type feature, and can be opened up to a safari style top. The soft doors would be easy to remove/install in a jiffy…
I have the MOPAR trail cover. The real interesting thing, and probably holds very true for rain gear top as well, is it fits my TJ as well. (although it can be a bit difficult to secure the rear straps)
It's already way above the bed sides/rails on that fullsize truck... it'd be even higher in our shallow beds... would this even fit between the wheel-wells?
Another option, is to buy from local shop. I just replaced the stock drag link and tie rod with the RockJock set. Pricing everywhere online was about the same, but most still were charging shipping... RockJock didn't even have it in stock to order... had a 6 week backorder. (the ones that...
