I personally think you are picking through grains of sand on the beach. You would need very precise instrumentation to tell the difference. Now, if you compare 33" street tires to 37" mud tires, NOW you can tell a difference in feel and performance... Just my 2 cents worth ;)

I've heard a couple of those things, and for some reason, I don't think the debris magically disappears above 1/4 tank... Maybe stays in suspension longer from the sloshing, but inevitably ends up in the filter.

Did you test the oil side, or the water side? it may make a difference. You could always submerse it in boiling water for the test...
