So the cargo manager is a go. But it only mounts if you have the retractable tonneau cover which was pretty slick. The cargo rail is super slick, easily movable, and folds up. If I go with a tonneau cover instead of a shell for now, this would be at the top.
The sliding cargo racks are nice and really this is a decent fab fours front bumper. And after trying out their rear bumper with step I was pretty happy. I like the idea here of making a plate with your own logo.
So I talked these guys about the grille. They said that they did airflow test with both designs and their was no loss vs stock. There are two different versions available as far as grille. They look super bright, but supposedly dim enough to run with headlight on. Also the bed rack with the...
I don't get the flairs. They are not connected to the body as you can see. Everything your tires kick would seem to wind up straight up above them. The rear bumper is great.
I like the doors on these with the armrest. There was one other company doing a front armrest, can't remember who. I wanted to try them out and the seats, but this was in an unattended area and the doors were ziptied shut... defeating the purpose of bringing new products to sema... You gotta let...
Fair enough. We all have different needs. I have had to use my spares infrequently enough that the underbody mount while inconvenient, doesn't bother me. If this was trail rig, and I had larger tires, then this would be appealing.
The rear side steps are such a great idea. However I tried them out I would hit my shin on the top part when stepping on the bottom step everytime if not cautious. I hope they can make them differently. I really wanted to like them and already have rse step sliders, so not a hater.
The concept for these are awesome, but the execution at the show was not great. The boxes had trouble opening, poor fit, and they didn't really know what might happen with the center tonneau cover. For a large company I was very unimpressed. If they take the concept seriously it could very useful.
So far from what I have seen, this might be the best option for me personally. The window one has optional sliders like I tried to show. You can add boxes for either side. Completely open, kitchen, or even drawers. The inside has a slider opening into the cab and then is sealed and positive...
Talked to these guys at SEMA. The smartcap with and without windows will be available January for the gladiator. The bed conversion around spring. Spendy, but absolutely flawless. 3800ish for the window version, 1600ish for the commercial version. Bed replacement around 5900 and then if you want...
The CJ wasnt a great seller. So the YJ went a different direction, including square headlights, but still had leaf springs. The headlights ate still a point of contention. The TJ was an upgrade for sure with stock coil suspension. But they eventually released the first unlimited, the "LJ"...
