I talked to Rusty today to get his take on this. He said they used a long needle nose pliers to hold the nut back there. Said its not super easy, but "doable".
I just ordered Rusty's Rear lower control arm skids. Anyone install these yet? Looks like a challenge getting the nuts inside the frame for the two small bolts.

Don't forget your local merchants. I got mine from the local Discount Tire facility. Not sure the brand, but they deal with this crap everyday. They work great and was about $100 all in.
I can't say I disagree it whats been witten, but To me I find it an easy work around to manually do the acceleration myself. When I take my foot off of the gas, cruise resumes its control and I'm at my speed and all is right with the world. No vehicle is prefect, and I find this to be a pretty...
No Idea. I have a hardtop. I don't leave it on though as its not very latch friendly for the freedom panels. It takes all of 30 seconds to take it off.
Added a sunshade this past weekend. Other than shitty install directions, I really enjoyed it.
Just bought the front section. Rear is also available.
ShadeIdea from Amazon. About $75
I also used the Overland boards. Maybe not the best looking choice but does a nice job of keeping winter grunge off the doors. I did not need any spacer though. They bolted on with no issues
How timely. Just found this post. Been racking my brain on what portable air source to use. thinking ARB, but not yet convinced myself to pull the trigger. It'll only get used a few time a year. Now you all got me thinking of on board air instead.
There is no need to recoat unless you're OCD on such things. I've never done it and have never had a rust related failure on any vehicle. And I live in MN with tons of salt on the winter roads
