Thanks again Kent ... so if I understand correctly, the shackle mounts on the metal cloak are 1" thick (wide?) and the 1" Roadmaster adapters on the tow bar work without needing the sleeve ... If so then that's ideal. This is very helpful. In the end I'm kicking myself for letting my towing...

Hey Kent, one more question on this topic ... I've now sold my old JKU with all my towing kit including tow bar so I'm basically going to be starting over from scratch. I've also had a chance to talk to a local fabricator about towing with the shackle mounts and he basically echoed your comments...

I ordered 10/28 and within a few days (see previous post) I had my vin and an estimated ship date of 12/8. Today my dealer sent (at my request) a copy of the POC which now states a ship date of 12/15 which I'm feeling a bit more optimistic about ... but I won't be surprised if I don't see it...

Bear in mind ... the DEALER told me it's status was D1. When I traded chat with jeepchat I didn't think to ask the status but was told the expected delivery date was 12/8 which agreed with what the dealer told me. In a day or so I'll get an update from jeepchat and get a better up to date...

Just got a note from my dealer .. I have a VIN!! D1 status with a preliminary ship date (per dealer) of Dec 8th?! Dec 8 seems optimistic but I can hope for an early xmas :)
