This is the TMBK2 tent. They have some options including a new tent that is just slightly larger that would still fit, check out their website.
Don’t think an annex would be worth it since the tent doesn’t sit high enough to be able to stand underneath, we decided against an annex for this...
Thanks!
It’s a cheap awning from yescomusa. Works great and probably manufactured in the same Chinese factories as more expensive brand name awnings. They have a few different sizes. It is was perfect for the JT cab length...
Love mine, still hear a few dings off my side steps, but it protects so much better than any other options out there. Buyer's remorse sucks; if you're that concerned about a few scratches, maybe stay off the trails.
It still bothers me that the roadside assistance people tried to send a regular tow truck to begin with, you would think that they would have protocol to follow based on the vehicle that they are towing.
Update:
After about 2 dozen calls back and forth between FCA roadside assistance, the Jeep dealer, Jeep cares and non-contracted towing companies it finally arrived at the dealer after 10 hours stranded.
Can’t believe it took that long to get a tow
Check engine flashing this am, engine struggling. Called mopar, getting a tow to the dealer.
Looks like they are sending a regular tow truck and not a flat bed.
Do our Jeeps need to be towed on a flatbed, or can it be towed with 2 wheels lifted and transfer case/transmission in neutral
Thanks!
Took the doors off for the first time, mounted holders in the garage and installed new rugged ridge tube doors/covers... just in time for a Colorado mountain rainstorm. Couldn’t drive with the tube doors, tomorrow I guess!
I would definitely recommend Overland Vehicle systems.
We have one of their older TMBK2 tents and it's been great, paid about $750 I think. Their newer versions have telescoping ladders, metal insulated bases and overall better features.
Keep in mind 75% of these tents are made in the same...
Looking for any good remote overlanding/camp spots in the mountains west of Denver. Having trouble finding spots that have great hiking either within a few mins drive or directly from a remote campsite.
Haven’t explored much yet, just moved to Evergreen last fall.
Cheers,
Thanks
