  1. Indecisive on Overland Setup

It keeps everything dry. You could add gaskets if you needed to.
  2. Indecisive on Overland Setup

You could do a Softopper with a bed rack. I just have a softopper and I love it.
  3. Retro Badging and 4xe cowl conversion

Did you bed line the stock fenders? I've been thinking about doing mine. My rear fenders are so chewed up from rock hitting them.
  4. Camp and Hunt pics

I was out scouting this weekend and this is a picture on one of the trails we took to get there. It got a lot narrower further up the trail. Saw 5 mule deer, 1 elk and a bunch of turkey's.
  5. Camp and Hunt pics

I used my Gladiator bear and caribou hunting on the Dalton highway in Alaska last year. It worded alright, the limited bed space and towing a trailer on the passes sucked. This year I'll be using it deer and bear hunting in New Mexico. I got my Gladiator to build the ultimate hunting rig that...
  6. Is This Normal? I Haz Questions

I don't think that's normal. I'm pretty sure that should me coated in a film to prevent it from rusting. I'd clean it up and hit it with something to protect it. I'm pretty sure there is a WD-40 corrosion inhibiter you can buy. I've used it once a long time ago on my YJ and it seemed to work fine.
  7. First time ever replacing pads and rotors. Did not go well...

It don't matter how many ugga duggas they use when you turn the bolt into a liquid
  8. Overlanding build out/Adventures

I'm a little late to the thread. But a Garmin InReach is a must. I bring mine on all my trips and use it often while camping or hunting in the backcountry. For leveling the truck, I use my traction boards. They seem to work great and I don't have to pack leveling blocks. I'm all about packing...
  9. Metalcloak Giveaway - May/June Full set of Hinge Steps (2 pair)

@RubiNewbCB , That patch is good. But unfortunatly the AFI doesn't allow moral patches. That's why my patch is better haha. People get confused every time they see it! With those steps I'd be able to finally wash the roof of my jeep!
  10. Is the Mopar 2 inch lift actually bad?

I'm glad I'm not the only one haha. I can't wait for these 35's to wear down and get 37's wrapped around new wheels. Then drop 5.13 gears in. I need to get that torque back.
  11. Is the Mopar 2 inch lift actually bad?

I have the Mopar lift and 35's on my Rubicon. The lift rides really nice. Better then stock I think. But my 35's are a soft compound too. If you go with a 2" lift then you might as well get 37's. I regret not getting them and I plan to get them once I need new tires.
  12. A new hope ... (build journal and component reviews)

Yeah the RokBlokz are definitely functional rather then looking good. But they work and have quick disconnects which is a plus in my book. A winch is nice to have but definitely not needed. I've used my traction boards way more. Plus traction boards are perfect for leveling a vehicle at camp...
  13. A new hope ... (build journal and component reviews)

Nice rig so far. The RokBlokz are priced a little steep. But they work very well. I got them fror my recent move from Alaska to New Mexico and they worked very well on the gravel highways of the ALCAN. I would look at some steel bumpers in the future. Depending which one you get, they offer...
  14. Concentric_Killer's Rubi

The GFC looks good. I've been trying to convince my wife we need one but she won't budge. She does agree we need a topper for the amount of moving around we do for my work. So maybe I'll get an RSI or something. If you're taking your Gladiator on moderate to technical trails, I would look at...
  15. [CLOSED] WINNER ANNOUNCED: DIY Windshield Protection Film Giveaway -- ExoShield ULTRA

I got my gladiator in April of 2022 and currently have 26K miles on it. I'm currently on my 3rd windshield (which is also cracked pretty bad). My second windshield cracked with in 10 minutes of picking it up from the windshield repair shop. I'm tired of replacing them. But I definitely need to...
  16. Best Radio for Talking with Others in ORV Areas

I got the Inreach+ too. I really like the new GPSMAP 66. But I can't justify spending that kind of money on something that I already kinda have. With the Earthmate app you can do a lot of the features that the GPSMAP 66 can do. I've been using it to mark hunting and fishing spots up here in Alaska,
  17. Deployed question

I'm stationed just south of Fairbanks. Interior Alaska is a different world compared to coastal Alaska. But I like the interior better.
  18. Deployed question

I'm stationed in Alaska and I mounted a noco trickle charger to my old duramax to keep the batteries from dying in the cold and on TDY's. I never had an issue with the batteries being dead. I plan to do the same with my Gladiator. But right now it's not cold enough to warrant winterizing it.
