When I store my BMW for 5 to 6 months in an unheated garage, I use a CarBag, which is basically a giant closeable tarp bag. Keeps out rodents and excessive moisture, it's been fantastic for the 5 years I've had it.
This ended up being a moot point for me since I traded my 2020 Max Tow Sport for a 2021 Rubicon w/ LED lighting. I don't think I'd ever go back to halogen after getting used to LEDs.
shoutout to @n-fab they are not only processing my claim for two new Predator Pro side steps, they're also not asking for me to send the old ones back, that saves me money ?
N-Fab responded and will process a warranty claim. Now determining if just the end caps or entire steps will be included on the claim. So no painting/Line-Xing necessary at this time. I'm happy to hear about a manufacturer honoring their warranty, gives me faith in these parts we buy.
Opened a warranty support request w/ N-Fab, we shall see what they say. I'll then need to weigh the idea of shipping costs back to them if indeed it is a valid claim (unless they have a local option). Otherwise, I've bought some etchant/primer and paint top coat and may just go that route if...
thought about re-powdercoating but if I go that route, I’d rather push N-Fab for a warranty claim (supposedly should have 5yr coverage on the finish)
I’ve not tried Raptor Liner before, you use one of their primers before the top coating?
I've got the N-Fab Predator Pro side steps, which are an aluminum product with black powdercoating. Well, as expected, the finish has chipped away some. I'm inquiring about warranty coverage, but assuming that isn't honored, what is a good paint recommendation for repair? I'd like to paint it...

Funny seeing this thread tonight… I’ve just become snake bitten with the dreaded windscreen crack for the first time in 4 yrs of Gladiator ownership (across 2 of them). I was wondering how everyone felt about Safelite since that’s whom I usually use.
:shrugs shoulders: my 2003 BMW Z4 is still running very well without issues, it's my 2nd BMW and both have been reliable
seems like across forums when these BMW reliability interjections come up in various threads it is very subjective
No cracks on the windshield, but just got my rig back from hail repair. All the damage was focused on the hood and the cowling. About $1300 in cost for this-
eh, not on mine, during Covid on my 2021 someone pooch screwed one of the valve cover gaskets and caused a decent oil leak… and has me thinking how many others line workers had a poor assembly day
For the fun of it I checked my dealer's lot for in-stock Gladiators... holy cow, they are discounting the '23s like crazy. $67k Rubicons listed for $51k (basically the base price).
Guessing they aren't selling well up here at all.
this is exactly the endemic crime we've got going on here in the upper Midwest, granted it's with non-immobilizer Hyundai's & Kia's (thanks to them much less attention to Jeeps in the city)
may not stop a broken window, but it will save the joyride and eventual crash into a tree or police...
