I had someone in my office a while ago moaning about 6 7.
"Which is better, pirates or ninjas?" Which, of course, got a moderately long answer as to which one they thought was better. "And when does the Narwhal bacon?"
"The narwhal bacons at midnight... oh."
"Yeah, why don't we let the...
No roll bar on my truck, it gets in the way of the different covers and caps I put on for different jobs. Any of the ones that don't get in the way are purely for looks and wouldn't add an functionality to the truck.
I might consider one in conjunction with a tall cross bar at the back of...
Yeah, the "DoW" thing threw me for a second - especially since only Congress can change the name of the DoD, they are essentially "Department of Defense, doing business as 'Department of War"" (Or "DoD DBA DoW")
Charge your phone, dammit!
The banner seems pretty clear, they are not interested in individual private sales and are focusing on defense contracts and probably law enforcement and fire/ems or aviation companies/agencies. A few guys with Jeeps are more hassle than they are worth.
Customers: “Address quality issues and known problems with the platform, like leaking roofs, cam shaft issues, rampant corrosion, and all the crap that makes Jeep one of the lowest rated for quality”
Jeep:
I wanted to take the tops off more, but it seems like all they do is leak when it rains or snows- so I just try to get them on with a bead of non-reactive grease that won’t damage the seals and hope I can get another couple months out of it before it starts dripping again.
I would gladly give...
I have a hard top, but the damned thing leaks so badly I wonder why I bother.
After a few years how’s it doing for you? Specifically, any issues with leaks?
The filter design is still crap, if I use an inch-lb torque wrench to tighten that filter to the exact Jeep spec I get low oil pressure warnings. The window between “doesn’t back off” and “doesn’t cause problems” is way too small. Plus, having a larger filter element for a diesel would be way...
The whole design of that filter is dumb and introduces more failure points. They are incredibly picky about how they are installed and will either kick a low oil pressure warning if put on with a tiny bit too much torque or break.
I reached out to Baxter Performance, who makes an adapter for the Pentastar oil filters so it can take standard style oil filters. They say an adapter for the diesel is in development, we might be able to ditch that shitty proprietary MOPAR filter.
There is a new option since many of these posts were made: https://seequenced.com/products/2020-jeep-gladiator
They also will buy your failed light back, they use the housing to make their product. Even thought I bought an OE replacement, I still sold them my broken light when I found it...
My local dealer said they are using a teflon barrier when they reassemble the doors, he didn't mention anything about zinc.
I also have corrosion on the hood edges, the best I can figure is it's right where two people would lift and handle the body part if it was off the car. You can almost...
All they need to do is correctly prep everything before paint - and assemble the hinges after the aluminum parts are painted. Any kid who made a clock out of a potato could have told them this would be a problem.
I just got word my repair has been approved - new hood, three new doors and a new...
