FS is the Front Bumper taken off my 21' Rubicon I switched out for a steel bumper. Very lightly used, I drove less than 500 miles before replacing. Includes fog lights, red tow hooks, and close out panel. $250, pick up only.
Brand new black WeatherTech Floor Liner for front and rear. Ordered these and never even opened the box. Went with the Jeep brand floor liner instead. Think I spent around $225 all in after shipping/tax. Located in Orlando, Pick up only, yours for $150.
I was told by the tech that they aren't allowed to flash anything and that I should flash it myself or find someone else to do it. Said it was a warranty issue...
Regarding Dana making the bearings, I don't know, that's what I was told by the parts manager but who knows. He said that Dana...
So... Finally picked up my JT yesterday from the Dealer. Turns out that while Mopar sells the ring and pinion they do not sell the bearings after market for the 4:88 re-gear. Dana actually manufactures the bearings but one of the axels was on back order. Dealer ended up using revolution...
A few updates since my last post. I have added the Ace Engineering Sliders, Re-Geared to a 4:88, Linex-d the Bed, and upgraded to the Fox Steering Stabilizer.
I was told that the tech doing my gear swap has been a master mechanic for over 20 years with Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and is their go to guy for gear swaps. Part of the reason I went with the Dealer is because they told me they do this all the time and this tech in particular does most of them...
So... It turns out that while Mopar sells the after market 4:88 ring and pinion they don't sell the bearings... At least that is what I am being told. So now, the dealership is ordering the Dana 44 bearing kit. I'm told its compatible as Dana actually manufactures the Mopar ring & pinion...
Long story short, Dealership is re-gearing my JT Rubicon with 4.88 Mopar gears. Parts Manager only ordered the ring & pinion sets and assumed it would come with new bearings if needed. Evidently, it doesn't and I'm told the 4.10 bearings don't fit. For nearly a week now they have been...
Welp, finally pulled the trigger on the re-gear. Dropped it off today, I'll update once I pick it up later this week. Went with the 4.88 Mopar, excited to see how it feels. I honestly, didn't mind the 4.10s whenever I was putting around town under ~45, but, I strung several days of hwy...
They told me it would remain warrantied since it is Mopar replacement 4.88 gears and the Jeep Dealership installation. I was told if I replace outside of the dealership or with non-mopar parts the drivetrain would no longer be warrantied. His initial quote was actually $4,812, but they are...
Just received a quote from a dealership in Central Florida for a 4.88 Mopar re-gear for $3,240... I have a JT rubi 8 Speed Auto. That was about ~ $1,000 more than I was expecting. Believe it or not that is supposedly with a special discount they are offering me due to a misunderstanding when...
Local Dealership quoted me $3,240 total (Parts & Labor) for front and rear 4.88 re-gear using Mopar parts. I have an Rubi 8 Speed Auto. Anybody else getting quotes in this range?
