@D&C Designs has a cowl similar to the one depicted here (no cover), but is for a light, they did tell me via email that they would provide without light so that I could modify for air switch and coupler, they also would color match, worth a look

Someone should do a door and window delete panel like they do for just the window delete on a JK/JLU. That would make one sweet two door version of the Unlimited, similar to the inspiration LR Defender, sorry to go off topic, lol

Most of the manufacturers of aftermarket parts offer the choice to have it bare, menaing that there is no paint/ powder coat finish....and is cheaper than the powder coat/ paint finish. this savings could go to your local powder coating guys to color match your vehicle paint, many have done...

When I had my patriot "anniversary edition" I also had a JL, but traded both of those when the JT came out for his and hers JT's.....never looked back, but did love the JL when we had it. I liked the added room of the JL compared to the patriot, good luck making the decision

If it starts to lock up like that it might be time to do a little preventative maint and replace it. Used to happen to my dodge ram back in the day, replaced twice and that darn thing still kept on running with full heat and air for 200k miles, I sold it in perfect working condition
