My "Service elctronic throttle control" CEL continues. Most recently happened while towing at 70 degree outside temp and oil temp was below 240. The dealer says I am working it too hard and If I push FCA on it they will likely void my remaining warranty. I am considering selling at this point.
Service Electronic Throttle Control every time I tow my camper. This is not heat related as it happens with oil temp below 240 and it requires a key cycle for it to clear but CEL remains for a while after.
I have also had this issue and the dealer can not find anything substantial. I have had it in 5 times for this and is derates almost every time I tow my camper. Dash lights ups and then I get maybe 1/2 throttle and can not go over 55mph. This last time the dealer said I was pushing it to much...
Sounds like your dealer sucks. Keep taking it back after each CEL....MY 1st time they forced regen sent me on my way. 2nd they changed some other software update. 3rd they had an actual TSB and changed software again. If it still happens they claim it will be physical parts to change.
Im pretty sure you need it on stereo menu on the evic as with all taser features and then the standard right arrow on the left side and Cruise cancel on the right side (which is kind of arrow pointing to the left). It will say cool down mode on the dash as well as you'll see the transmission...
Hey do you mind giving me a bit more info on what you are talking about? It sounds like you are flat towing your jeep behind your motor home and it is setup so that the Gladiator applies the brakes when you hit the brakes in the tow vehicle. If this is correct can you please give me a quick idea...
Dealer only did a powertrain software update per the TSB and they are sending me out to test it. If that does not fix it they will have to change some hardware.
I have the same issue that started in 2021 at 7000 miles every time I tow a trailer. Everything is fine and then I got the lightening bolt, few other CEL lights, and I only had about 1/2 throttle it felt like.... I took it to the dealer and they said there is a TSB recall for the P00AF issue...
I am not sure if that would be a solution.
Heat is a struggle for the system as a total and the existing radiators(coolant, AC, Transmission, turbo intercooler). If you use the AC to cool the oil, the AC will still be putting that heat into the radiators and the net effect will not be an...
I have a 1" spacer lift on my springs and disconnected just the drivers side. It worked all weekend in the dunes with no witness marks of hitting anything. I tied the link to the sway bar and put the bolt in my center counsel.
P00AF code at 7000 miles and every time I tow my camper. Probably 15 times total as now I am at 18000. It requires a power cycle and the engine power comes back with CEL for a few more cycles before it clears. It gets really annoying when you are doing 70 on a holiday weekend and all of a...
Yes I am towing but not pushing it very hard as my numbers show.
DPF was reading 65% on my OBD scan too which may or may not have a correct % calibration. I can say it was not doing a regen that I know.
Can someone please help me confirm weather I am having a normal "derate" or other issues?
I get coolant 220, Trans 210, Oil 242, air temp 84 and I get a yellow check engine lights and the lightening bolt/throttle light. I seem to only get about half throttle and the engine must be restarted to...
Has anyone else had overheating issues that require the key to be cycled?
While towing my camper 85 degrees outside, coolant 225, trans 110, and oil 240, then I get service throttle control light and it reduces power. Engine power will not come back to power until I cycle the engine off and...
Download the manual for real instruction.
Its pretty simple to scroll through the menu then just hit "unmarry" and wait for it to go through the countdown.
I bent this up out of sheet metal and I love it. I can see my phone for GPS and still see the full screen. It just clips on and is very secure. I could probably do more if anyone was interested.
