I have thick soft rubber bump stops on the underside of my Mopar hard tri-fold cover that cushion when against the glass - you could do the same with this.

The Mopar hard tonneau cover also shortens the bed slightly as the front 8" does not fold up - this one looks to have the same non-folding attachment point, the 3 folding sections effectively rest on that front section when folded. I remove the hard cover when i need the full bed space for hauling.

Well done. I built a "drive under" that I can park under and then back under to remove the top as i was concerned my 12 yr old would knock something like this over. I've since added a sheet of plywood to store my freedom tops when my sunrider is installed or vice versa.
