I used my stock overland wheels and ran a 285/75-18 ridge grappler. They are 35's, which surprised me because I had always thought 285 was 33. They key here is that they are 11.5 inches wide and no added offset on the wheel. There may be 1/2" of fire sticking out and no rubbing.
Installed a Rough Countey 3.5" lift. Sits high and level on these 35's. Looks like a proper truck IMO. $500 and 5 hours. Only took that long because of the rear/upper shock bolts (PITA) and the last 2 hours was dark and mosquito infested. I lost at least an hour and 20 minutes.
Mine too but it always breaks my heart that they dont measure what you think they will. I'm adding a 3.5 lift on Saturday and then I'm gonna want 37's. I'll just have to do burnouts to wear these out quicker
I have Trail Grapplers that are the same size. they are supposed to be a smidge over 35 but when the vehicle is on the ground, they are 33.5. I hate that. What is your measurement after the weight is on?
Took the Overland steps off and put the Rubi rails on. I actually walked outside at 8:45, just to "see" how hard it would be, and had it done in 20 minutes or less. Super easy. Looks way better IMO. A lot easier to get in and out of. The damn steps are as high as the tub. Anyway, I got some...
It feels about perfect. The install was a little confusing and I had to drill the mounting hole a little bigger to get it on but it was otherwise simple. Very nice improvement. I figured I'd color match it to my Firecracker Red so when the doors are off it would pop.
It's actually red but I had a light on it so it looks orange. Like most Jeep colors, the Firecracker red changes in light a little. The pedal works great.
