Rad, thank you for the info. That was my plan is getting a Worthington or Manchester 5lb. with the single 9" but now I am liking the dual 9" with the split hinge. I will call them tomorrow and see what I can find.
Looking at a custom Deaver spring option and I'll try Falcons before springing for Kings as I had on my Tundra. If the Falcons work then I'll be stoked that I saved a bit of money. I didn't mess with all the setting on my old Kings so looking forward to the quick change with the 3+ setting.
Exact one I am looking at picking up. I looked at the Jetboil Basecamp but a lot of people complain they stop working and I only need something small, since it's just two of us. Curious, did you order direct or through their retail partners? I see that they are made to order, thinking it could...
Yeah, I am sitting with 600# over the bed and these just don't cut it. Going with new springs and shocks. It rode good with no weight but didn't last long since 2 days after installing I started loading it up.
Selling front and rear Icon shocks for 2.5" lift. These have less than 300 miles and only 1 trip off-road. Perfect condtion, in the process of switching out my current setup. Prefer local but I still have the boxes so shipping on your dime would be possible, just need to check rates. Purchased...
Curious as my Midland has just been sitting in the garage... Where did you end up mounting the receiver? Im thinking about putting it in the glove box and using an extension for the mic. Still working through mounting options for the ghost antenna as well.
I went with the standard, no extended links. I'm super happy with the way it performs on road. It definitely stiffened things up and feels more confident on corners and highway. I haven't had time in my schedule to get out and check the flex when going offroad so I can't speak to that yet.
I run an ARB dual under the passenger seat and so far so good, though it's not touching any plastic or carpet and sits on a metal plate. Not sure on the size of the Smittybilt compressor but I did see someone makes mounting plates that go behind the rear seat.
Added a Hellwig Sway Bar to help support all the weight I have up high. Night and day on the road so far, have yet to go off-road to see what impacts it may have. They say none, thats what I am counting on.
Awesome thread... I'll share, only pic I had so far on our trip back from Idaho we stopped in Tahoe where my kids were with our other furry kid. My son passed out and took up all our dogs real estate in the back, punk. Had a pic in my phone also standing guard while working in the garage. He...
Not sure how the ARE shell is on the Gladiator but I had the CX HD version on my Tundra and when I took it off to sell, the fiberglass shell had rubbed the bedside and though the paint. Bummer because I chose that shell since it looked clean dropping below the bedside but I had no idea it would...
