UPDATE ON Earlier post
My 2021 JT with 3.6 now consistently gets 22.5-23 mpg. combined back road and interstate @80 mph. But the Brick TJ only 15-16 mpg.
WOW. After reading all the horror stories about changing batteries I went to the Jeep dealership.
For a total of $617, both batteries replaced, guaranteed to be done right.
Figure $420 for batteries at Sams Club, my peace of mind was under $200. Best investment in years.
I have 3 and mileage varies from 16 to 23
2001 TJ , 4" lift 12.50 33r15 @16
2012 JGC Overland 3.6l with 5 speed auto @23+
2021 JT gladiator 3.6l with 8 speed auto @19+
All different, but AVERAGE of - - - 19 MPG
My 2021 has that stop/start message, has had it since September when I left it in accessory mode while towing behind my motor home for 2 days and the batteries died. It gives me no issues so I have ignored it.
My Question: DOES THE OBD II READER Above any fault codes?
I installed Yokohama Geolander HT 255r70-18 last week, much better but still some hop on bumps, now I will try lowering the air pressure from the 36psi on the door.
We picked up a 'Virgin" 80th Anniversary edition with 50k, and it had never been in 4WD. It was so stiff that I almost bent the shifter getting it into 4WD the first time. Those gears need to be exercised. Get out there and have fun.
My DW is complaining about the rough ride on Her 80th Anniversary Gladiator. I have accepted the daunting task of installing the best riding ones . HELP. . Rancho 5000,? Bilsteins?
Current Shock Absorber - Mopar (68509241AB).
I have the 2021 80th anniversary edition with Ironman LT tires on original rims. It runs great at 80 mph on I-40 full of semis. No complaints at all. My JGC with Yokohama passenger tires does feel.a little turbulence, but both are easy drivers.
