My DW is complaining about the rough ride on Her 80th Anniversary Gladiator. I have accepted the daunting task of installing the best riding ones . HELP. . Rancho 5000,? Bilsteins?

I use my 2024 Gladiator Sport S for long distance travel, and I wouldn't trade the stock suspension on mine for anything else. I've never driven such a smooth riding midsize truck.

My stock overland suspension was way too soft for my liking. She’d probably like that. Too bad you aren’t local to Atlanta. It’s been siting in my garage attic for five years with 3k miles on it.

i did the Rancho RS7 series, on my 22 sport S
huge improvement on the ride in my opinion, not soft and squishy with bounce after a bump, more of an absorption with less after effect

Too soft with a winch and smaller.

Bilsteins

Stiffer, even with a winch. Try Fox or einach.

Many options and a long journey of research. Cheap enough to replace it you don't like them.

My Nighthawk rides insanely well. It has "sport" shocks stock. Might try some of those.

It’s not only the shocks…it’s the suspension/springs.

Do yourself a favor….stay away from Roncho (aka Rancho).

What year and package? Look around…you might be able to pickup some take-off springs for next to nothing.

If she's complaining about a rough ride do not go bilstein. The digressive valving is firmer than stock. It's suggest rancho 9000s since they are adjustable. Of course if you're running anywhere near the stock psi that's half the problem. Drop the tire pressure to 30 psi cold and it will ride much smoother.

its mostly freeway driving at 75-80. Offroad is not an issue, and we have Many miles of that over the past 45 years of 4 wheeling.

What tire pressure are you running?

That’s a great question. My Jeep isn’t stock, but it rides great at 33-34 PSI, but super rough at higher PSI.
