  1. Transmission stops pulling and then stuck in Park

Did you use Mopar 8/9 speed transmission fluid?
  2. Jeep is Cutting Prices and Adding Content!

They may have reduced the base price, but with the way they force you into packages, then couple the packages, you still end up buying more than you want or need. I just built one comparable to my 2020, and the MSRP is $8k more than I paid back then. Inflation sucks.
  3. Shifting from 4 Hi to 4 Lo by Itself

There’s not an electrical actuator in the transfer case. I really don’t see how what you are experiencing is possible. The planetary gears are spinning at 4:1 when the T-case gets shifted into low. How fast were you traveling when this occurred? If it shifts while going more than a couple of...
  4. Shifting from 4 Hi to 4 Lo by Itself

Are you saying that it is going from 4 Hi, through neutral, and into 4 Lo while you’re moving? I don’t see how that’s possible. I would think the speed differential would cause it to grind, and not engage.
  5. Securing Lower Ball Joint

Dynatrac HD upper ball joints have a snap ring on top which retains them. Both joints become dislodged simultaneously when that happens, so the upper will keep everything in place. I would recommend them if you’re going to be wheeling in a manner that makes breaking u-joints likely.
  6. Who makes spring sleeves...

Your springs shouldn’t squeak. Are you sure all your suspension components are torqued properly?
  7. 2024 Gladiator Pricing

    They’re starting to show up.
  8. Has anyone replaced or needed to replace the Transfer Case chain?

T-case chain should last the lifetime of the Jeep. At only 26k miles, I would look elsewhere first.
  9. Upper control arm not lining up

As you do what is stated, you will need to provide extra support to the axle assembly to keep it from flopping backward. An extra jack under the pinion may help, then adjust as needed.
  10. oil filter housing breakage

I’ve had 5 Pentastars, with as many as 144k miles. Never had a cracked oil filter housing. It’s either luck that I haven’t had a problem, or the crack is a symptom of over tightening. I believe it’s the latter.
  11. Rear brake lines

Bleeding brakes isn’t too bad, as long as you have a helper. One person depresses the brake pedal and hold it while the other opens and closes the bleeder, then repeat several times.
  12. So pissed off! Weird noise after install new rims! Never heard it before. Anyone knows why?

Sounds like the brake shield to me too. They could have bent it installing the new tire/wheel.
  13. Confirmed: Gladiator 4xe coming in 2025. JT Gladiator production continues into 2028

Does it bother anyone else that future vehicle production is being dictated by union contracts rather than technology advances and market demand?
  14. Is this the dreaded rocker tick?

I’ve done 5 repairs on that, and I don’t believe so. The rocker tick is usually more pronounced. It’s obvious. I’m not saying it’s not the earliest indication, but that just sounds like normal valvetrain noise right now.
  15. Dana Spicer Rear Chromoly Axle Shafts

The JL gets the M200 rear axle in Sport and Sahara trims, and I think all JTs have the M220. They may have different outers.
  16. Dana Spicer Rear Chromoly Axle Shafts

I ran a set in my Rubicon, and can confirm that JT Rubicon and JL Rubicon shafts are interchangeable, but I don’t see narrow JT rear axles listed on the Dana/Spicer part page. Maybe the JL non-Rubicon shifts aren’t interchangeable with the JT non-Rubicon...
  17. Gladiator Lifts

    The group also owns JKS.
  18. [Updated w/ recovery video] Jeep Gladiator shears off a wheel climbing Devil’s Hot Tub @ Moab

I’ll own mine. I continued to try to drive it after breaking the u-joint. That’s when it pressed the ball joints out. Won’t do that again. I gained the experience of ball joint replacement on the trail though, so that’s positive.
